I was sitting in my work truck under the I-65 bridge watching the police direct the cars towards the lake county fair grounds Wednesday around 1:00 early afternoon.. I was fortunate to see many cars..So then Thursday morning I figured I would get a chance to see you guys leave and everyone was gone! What time did everyone leave? I was so disappointed..

 

Does anyone know a place I could get a Power Tour Window sticker from? I wasn't able to pick one up at Norwalk.

 

Unfortunately each stop was done at 7 each night. This year they didn't have drivers meeting at the start. So everyone just left from what ever hotel they stayed at. We were in the Norwalk to Crown point leg. We also were disappointed in not being able to leave as a group.

 

Are you still on the tour? They are at the Painless booth.

 

I'm at the Raddison hotel if anybody wants to meet somewhere for a beer. I'll check this post in an hour or so.


Car is running perfectly, hope I didn't just jinx myself!

 

Nope, I'm already home. Posted on Hot Rod's forums about it.

 

650 miles in 3 days! Not a single issue with the car, not bad considering I was working on it less than 24 hours before leaving.

Doing the Long Haul is now on my bucket list!

Got some pics on the hwy in Iowa then cool flower bed at a little drive Inn and then pikes peak where the Wi river comes into the Miss

 

I got home around noon today...it's a long haul from the Dells to Texas..4605 miles start to finish)

 

I guess good for you dont think I want to do that far

 

The 04, and '12 Tours were shorter, but this tour had the best weather by far, and mostly great venues. They said 20% more cars than last year.

 

I heard they estimated 6000 in Iowa

 

And 5,500 of them were in line in front of us. LOL
