I would live to do power tour with one of the cars. Too bad they don't have nothing like that on west coast.

I went last year to the event kickoff in Arlington, TX, and had to park out side, the long haul guys were given the good parking..but I didn't pay to get in. Check on the Hot Rod site..

Don't take this the wrong way, but I just got out of the hospital from a bad section of intestine that had to be removed. In recuperation now. I just beat death, for now. It was close. I don't plan on letting my cars sit idle. This one was a game changer. I'm going on Power Tour. Hope to see you there. I'm doing a lot of things in the future, hope to see you there too.

I booked my hotels a while ago but didn't register at the time. I registered as a long hauler on Tuesday for the $80 + the $3 service fee. The long haul registration includes parking preference every night, covers you and one passenger, it also includes a chance to go on a private tour of the original Petty garage and a meet and greet breakfast with the King himself. Pretty cool! 20 luckies + 1 guest each will get the adventure Saturday (kick-off day).

Z11375SS,
Glad to hear you are recovering. I fully support your enthusiasm to make the most out of life. More of us should try to do better at that. I'll be making it a point to meet all the CO people on the tour.

It would be nice to know the route I run E-85 there are stations that carry it but would be nice to know where I need to be looking.

We need to soap write a big CO on the back window of our cars so they are easy to find. Or something along those lines.

I should see you guys at the June 19th stop at Norwalk! Not too far from me. It's not like you'll be able to miss the Great Pumpkin, haha. Might try to drag my dad along too.
Can't wait!

Are any of you artistic and/or connected in the printing industry?
I think a modest CO window sticker would be really cool.
Perhaps a sticker with some extra room to write in your username.
Any thoughts? It would be cool to have on or off the tour.

I'm on it, thinking of using the CO site logo in a banner style, that would look good along the bottom of the rear window.
More to follow

After getting a few inches of snow today I'm really looking forward to summer so I thought I'd resurrect this thread. Because of the salt on the road, I've only had the old cars out twice since Thanksgiving. I've officially got withdrawl.

The Power tour is only 67 days away! (till the kick-off BBQ on Friday) Get ready to hit the road and make sure your heater works just-n-case it is still cold when we get to Wisconsin.

I've been looking at routes between Dallas and Concord today. Apparently the day prior to kickoff a group is going to cruise to the VA facility, might have to depart a day early

I plan on catching the tour as they leave Crown Point headed to Bettendorf, and spending the night there. May continue to WI Dells as well, that's to be determined.

I just got word my car is finally ready to go. After spending the entire winter getting the motor rebuilt. I hope I can get enough miles on it, to be ready for the power tour. I signed up and made all my reservations a long time ago.

You're where i was last year. My car ended up not having enough miles on it for me to be comfortable driving it down to Chattanooga. Didn't go. This year they are driving through my back yard. I have to go. Already have 4 buds going too. I don't think they've made their reservations at Bettendorf though. They're not sleeping with me. I will Houdini if that's what it takes. I've already reminded them once about the reservation thing. They're big boys, so that's all I'll say about that to them.

I haven't had time to get a quote on a CO sticker, if you work with an outfit that cuts vinyl lets and can supply them on a backing for the rear window go for it, I was going to use the co.com logo at the top of the site.
Let me know if I can help..

Just got word my engine should be ready soon. As long as I have time to put a few miles on it before hand I'm headed from Crown Point to the Dells.

It's not looking good. I haven't found an affordable option. If one pops up I would love to swap it out before I go.

I would like to join the tour in Crown Point from Rockford, IL. Is there a decent way to get there without running the interstate through Chicago? I was thinking of dropping down through Joliet but I keep hearing horror stories about Chicago Heights. Any suggestions?
