I was really hoping they would stay off the interstates. So much for that. This questions me going that way. I may take the back roads all the way. Way better drive.

The drive to the lunch stop doesn't look very good but most of the trip after that is decent. I know the stretch from 176 to 88 will be a nice drive with Route 2 being a nice mostly two lane along the river through several small towns.

Does somebody here know how to put a attachment of the classic olds logo so we can print it out on a paper to put in our car windows? That way we can put our member name on it and get to meet some of the members face to face.

Wow, I would not have guessed they would go to the north burbs, then back south and west to Bettendorf.

I will probably take 355 north and merge in with the group where 290 and 355 connect.

I was looking at google maps today. The stop in Crown point doesn't look very big. How are they going to get 5000 cars and vendors in that place? Yeah I know, of all things to worry about right? I haven't even started to get my must have kit for the car yet.

The fairgrounds are very big as I remember them. Although it's always been a sh*tshow during gun shows. Maybe because of the snow or something. Parking was a mess. They have a nice town square that will hold about 100 cars for a show too.

So do you have to register to be able to go check it all out? I'd like to go to the Norwalk stop, but I probably won't run any of it. We'll see. It's 12 Noon - 7PM, correct?

If you just want to hang out at one stop, it's $30 at the registration trailer.

One day registrations are available and will receive a vehicle window sticker and a license plate frame. Registration for one (1) venue only is $30, and is only available at the event site on the day of the event at the Registration trailer

Keegan, it is my understanding that at Norwalk you can park in public parking(free) and walk in (free) to look at cars and whatever else is there. I am joining up with 4-6 other cars at 11:30 at rte 3 and rte 224(76) at Hardees for lunch and then head to Norwalk, anyone is welcome to join us ,Rod

So about the night of... I'm guessing the group leaves in the morning. If possible, I'll camp out at the strip and leave the next morning with everyone else. Then I can run that leg through Canton and then just come home!

I will be in Concord/ZMAX June 7th and running back Sunday morning to the Asheville exit area. If you are going to/from concord there is some road construction of I-40 around the exit 40-33 area that keeps it backed up but can easily be bypassed!

Things I need to finish before Wednesday:

New fuel line over axle to the tank & reinstall tank. Noticed lines were not tucked up well enough and too close to tail pipes and rear end housing for comfort.

Finish installing H4/H1 headlight conversion and relay kit.

Get windshield wipers to work. Apply Rain-X if needed.

Calibrate AutoMeter speedo.

Do a burnout.

Pack a bag and toolbox.

Do a burnout.

I think Friday after staying at Iowa, I'm going to run with the pack up to Dubuque then cut over to Galena, IL and head back home taking 20 to 39, then south to Joliet. I don't have a room in the Dells.

I know a few Chicago area guys were going to head home Friday (correction) morning from Bettendorf, feel free to join me on the long way home.

You mean Friday don't you? I have a badass medical test on the following saturday and thought they were running to Bettendorf on Friday. I'm def going now that it's on Thursday. The business partner may not like it though.
I am completely ready. Turn the key and GO!

I will probably take 355 north and merge in with the group where 290 and 355 connect.

I'm going to be with you. LOL! I'm doing the same thing you are. My house is very near the end of 355. If Heidts didn't have to be prepaid or part of a package, I imagine I will be there. I am registered and paid for the full tour however so if it's part of that day's activities I guess I'm in.
We'll get together as to going on that thursday as far as time, etc. We'll have to figure out how long it will take them to get to our location. Better yet just start looking for cool cars!

The drive from Concord to Knoxville was beautiful, I've seen several Oldsmobiles at both venues..today heading for Charlie West, should be a short day.
Having a blast!

The cutlass is packed. We head out early AM Tuesday, to head for Norwalk. Nothing left now but the worry. Hope to see a few of you along the way.

Somehow I missed you in Concord, I met up with Jason, Bryan and a few others, evidently I had just missed you. It was an incredible gathering in Concord. I will defiantly be watching for next years venue!

Appointment to get tail pipes welded on is Wed morning 9am. He said only if it's not raining because he doesn't want to push his race car outside in the rain. Hopefully he can fit me in, tried 4 shops today he's the only one that will do stainless steel tails for me.

Depending how smooth that goes, I'll then be headed to Crown Point for the afternoon.

Drove a while in the rain today with the windows up... Turn downs are no fun!

I will be meeting up with Archeryshooter and one other Oldsmobile and will be joining the Tour between Rockford and Byron. Plan on watching part of the group go by before joining. So if you see two 66's and a 67 that will be us.

Cant wait for the fun to begin.

Nice meeting Keegan today, and I understand Chadman stopped by my car. Gotta love the cool weather, I haven't had my a/c on since Mississippi.

Saw your car parked at Crown Point today, nobody was around.

Hopefully will meet a few board members at Heidts or the Casino on Thursday.
