1959 seat interchangability

I'm hoping someone might have a quick answer and knows if a front bench seat from a 1959 Dynamic 88 (four door) can be used to replace the one in my 1959 98 Celebrity (four door).

Thanks much,

Jim

That's a bet I'd be willing to take - I know for the '55s, the difference is only in the upholstery material and patterns for the front seats - rears had armrests in the middle in the 98s, not 88s.

One of mine had a front bench sporting a 98 upholstery pattern in it when I bought it and there were no modifications to the floors or the seat frame so I'm guessing it was a bolt in.

Thanks, Olds Dad. I was thinking the same thing about it being a good bet but not certain (what bets are). I think the odds are even better now since you know that the 1955's are interchangeable. I'm going to take the leap here I think as long as the springs are good on the replacement since that is the whole reason I am looking to swap seats.

Thanks again for your input.
