Hello-
Thanks for taking time to read this, what if any Cutlass years bucket seats will have the same configuration/bolt down pattern as a 1969?

thank you.

1969-72 GM A-body will interchange and with 1969 seat covers will look correct. That would be Cutlass, LeMans, Skylark, Chevelle and the Grand Prix & Monte Carlo. There may be a slight difference in the release latch for the head rests... I'm not sure. But those can be purchased repop if need be.

Thanks John_ I appreciate your time taken to respond, I'd guessed that but wanted a 2nd opinion.

1968 seats also fit, but have the backrest release button on the side instead of on the back. The full size cars also used the same bucket seat frames for 68-70, but those are very rare.

Unfortunately, EVERYONE thinks A-body buckets are solid gold. Even complete turd sets go for stupid money. By the time you get new foams, upholstery, and trim, it's nearly the same money to buy the completely assembled repros that are available for $2200 or so.

Joe-
Thanks I'd seen the repro's, and used that pricing as a "benchseatmark". There is a seller here locally with a pair of buckets newly refoamed, burlapped and re-covered out of a Chevelle, trouble is they are green, and my interior is black, but for what he wants for them, I should probably snag them and recover them.
Always good to get another opinion, thanks for yours.

SEM paint works great for color changing vinyl. I had some green mustang seats I changed to blue and they looked great. It wears very well too.

Thanks RetroRanger, I've used SEM vinyl die/paint before on other cars I've restored, question, do you have any experience with changing the color of fabric? The owner of these seats ( Chevelle ) had put a set of Year One green covers on them, vinyl on the sides and top, fabric on the seat and backrest. The interior of my Cutlass is black.

thanks!

I also might just replace the green Chevelle covers since they are new, and list them at a Chevelle forum.
