Underhood pics needed...

My '65 Cutlass has been missing the radiator overflow bottle.. and I just purchased an original equipment one and need to mount it. If someone could post a picture of the placement of this bottle. My car has Air conditioning.. and was told that it might be in a different spot than a non air car..is this true?
Thanks.

No such thing as radiator overflow bottle in 65. Rad dumped to ground via rubber hose off cap neck.

I was not certain.. but the '65 4door I just purchased from original owner says everything is original on the car.. and nothing has been added or changed.. down to the floor mats. And it has an overflow bottle

It was added. Factory did not offer it until 1971 and it did not become standard until 1974.

Aftermarket closed cooling systems were/are available thru parts stores. Included a jug, mounting bracket and radiator cap.

So if you are keeping your cutty original.. is it worth installing the overflow bottle for environmental reasons over originality?

Sure, why would you want to puke that green slim onto the ground.

Since you want to "restore" your car you shouldn't install the overflow tank.

I might try to mount it hidden way down below the headlights.. that way I feel more responsible knowing I wont be poisoning any critters, and it will still look original

not to stir the pot or anything, but if I bought the car in 1965 and had the dealer put on an overflow tank, isn't it original?(just not factory) Lots of accessories were added at the dealer level, right?

Interesting thought.. if it was dealer installed.. I would consider that original.. but I guess there is no real way to know for sure if it was actually put on at the time of purchase...
