where is it located on a 1987 cutlass supreme

Isn't it up in the carb? Mechanical fuel pump, correct? If so, that's were it should be, I think.

Yeah, the 307 carb'ed cars, it's right in front of the carb.

You need a 1" and a smaller one (7/8" I think) to open the fitler shaft

I just changed mine out yesterday its right in front of the carb you will need two wrenches in order to get the bolts loosened.

It's not fuel injected, is it? The fuel system runs about 7 psi, I believe. There'll be some fuel leakage from residule left in the line, but that should be it.
