92 Oldsmobile cutlass supreme S 2dr coupe door lock switches do not properly engage..

I have an annoying issue where the automatic door locks will not go up and down, the driver side will go inch by inch the more I hit the unlock button, but will not go back up when hitting lock, the switches when manually moving them feel extremely tight like they are not seated in properly

I remember working in the Buick dealership in those days replacing a little rubber insulator on the door lock actuators. If I remember correctly, the lock would work one way fairly normal, but go really slow the other.

Might be something to look into. It definitely sounds like a actuator issue.

You can take off the door panel to inspect the door lock actuator. If you R/R anything just make sure you tether the electrical cables properly to the door frame. The UP/DOWN window movement can catch on cables and connectors if they aren't routed correctly.
