Enjoy every moment you can with your dad.
We were very lucky. Not sure if I posted this when they originally found it but I think it was Gods plan for it to be found. He was set in his mind that he was no going to retire till he turned 65. I (and several others) were begging him to retire at 62. He has worked hard his entire life and I felt that he deserved a longer retirement. One day he went into work and did not have a good day. He said heck with this place I am done. He decided to retire but first wanted to get checked from head to tow by a doctor while he was still on the miners insurance. That is when it was found and since then had to take it much easier. He turns 65 in 6 months and I know he would have been working as hard as ever till then not knowing about the condition. I thank God he had a bad day at work on that day.

This is what he was doing when he decided to retire. He had many years running draglines for Peabody.

My 2 year old son would like to see that thing in person. He loves those machines. Good to hear the news about your dad and how things went so well.

Eric,I am so proud that everything is going well in your dads case, and wish to commend you for being open in asking for the prayers. Many people today believe in prayer and God's power, but are afraid to openly display their true feelings.I am proud of you for asking ,and very proud of such an outpouring of love and concern from the C.O. "TEAM". Larry
