Evening everyone. Happy Friday, glad its here.

Well, unfortunately, I had to spend half the day trying to fix an issue with my business. I got my first check and went to open up a business account at the bank, only to find out that my "DBA" is not enough, it needs to be set up as an "LLC". So I need to spend more $$$, fill out more forms to get that set up so I can access my pay. Always something, right?

Happy Birthday Sandy! Hope you enjoyed the day.

What a great time we had today. So happy to meet Jamesbo and Sandy and John and spouses. I hope we get to meet again and again.

It's cold as a mother in the house tonight. The gas company is coming tomorrow to turn the gas on, which is odd because it's Sunday, but I'm not complaining. My firewood must be too cold because I'm not having luck getting the stove cranked up.

Two hundred thousand views? But only 11000 posts. Hm. Well, it's nice to be popular.

Have a great night everyone.

Evening All!

I had the most enjoyable day! It was great meeting Mike, Jamesbo, John and the wives. We really enjoyed the tour of the Fox Theatre and the Cyclorama. You guys were just as nice as I thought you would be. Of course Olds people are the best, so I had no doubts. I loved listening to Jamesbo talk!

Mike... I'm glad they're coming to turn on your gas tomorrow so you'll have some heat!! Its chilly out there tonight. I see you all will be in the 70's this week... looking at our weather, we're going to be in the 40's with rain. I can't believe the flowers still in bloom around here.

Well I gotta shower and gather all my stuff up so we can head to the airport after the WD tour tomorrow.

Have a good evening all!!

If you got that boat Mike I could borrow it to move over that way, just put a container on it and putt on over but it would take me a while to get there

Have fun sorting out your banking issues Darrell, I hate banks. Rip you off every chance they get.

Evening everyone. Wow, 200,000 views, that's amazing. I've been on other forums but I can't think of a thread that had this many views.

Cold and windy here today, not the best day to be painting the porch but that's what was on the list to be done. Hope to get it finished by Halloween.

Sandy, Mike, Jamesbro - Glad to hear you all were able to meet up. Did you take a group picture?

Adrian - banks are bad enough, but here in the US, the lawyers are the real problem.

Mike, Ya needs to get a fat girl to kep ya warm dis time of year

Izzy [ now ya know why I call her de Super model, She's 6' barefooted] and I had a great time with Larry, Sandy, Mike John and his bride.

We toured de Fox, had sum southern grub [Sandy didn't finish her pot likker but dat's Ok] We even got Mike to eat sum whar besides de Awful House. and went to de Cyclorama.

No one knew it was gonna be "Boo at de Zoo" and de Zoo was covered up with yard apes in costumes and park'in was a bear but we made it fine.

Larry was as nice a fella as I ever met and Sandy is prettier in person dan her pics. [Maybe de ubiquitous green Cutlass takes away from her beauty]

I may hold de record fer meeting de most CO members w/o ever going to a car show.

Adrian from down under, Scot from Perry, de guy [whose name escapes me] who runs de Ferrari shop in Roswell. John from de Big Easy , Mike from Stockbridge, Sandy from Ohio, [and course my bud Donny.]

Speaking of names dat escape me. John, De guy whose de intake manifold guru is Chris Whit.[sp?] I thought of it 'bout 2:00 in de mawnw'in and was gonna call ya but I figgered ya might be sleeping.

Morning All!

Awwwww... thanks Jamesbo. You were the perfect southern gentleman and I'm so happy we got to meet finally! We've been talking for so many years.

Your wife is beautiful! So tall and elegant. Both the ladies were so nice... both are so tall! I felt like the short little kid, lol. I did have such a great day. Mike is sooo nice... probably made him crazy with all my jabbering, lol. I know I irritate Larry. I love Johns accent!!
I love you guys!

We just checked out of the hotel... Larry got me up at 6:25 for some reason. Don't have to be in Senoia intil 9:30. I love that there's no humidity here right now. I washed and dried my hair and it feels like I have no hair cause there's no moisture in the air! I don't get that in Ohio, lol. It always feels like I have a ton of hair there.

Thanks for the nice words about Larry. He can be a nice guy , unfortunately he goes the other way much too often with his words.... well we are ready to head to Senoia so I'll talk to you later!!!

Good morning everyone.

Sandy this is the earliest I think I've ever seen you up. Larry must be chompin' at the bit to get to the tour. Hope you guys have a good trip home. I forgot to ask you, if the barf bag on the plane has the logo on it, would you save me one, preferably unused.

It will be hard to top yesterday but I'll try. Gonna get a rattle can and paint the last few parts for the van and put them on, provided it warms up enough. I've been using my trailer for a painting platform so now I have to repaint it as well. Eh, it's mostly rust anyway.

A fat girl, eh? Fat bottom girls they make the rockin' world go round. My firewood finally warmed up about the time I was heading to bed. Gas man comes today, so the dogs' ears won't be icicles anymore.

Adrian my math might be a little too simple, but if you drove a Mike boat over here it would take you 17 days. Detroits can be a little thirsty, though, so you might have to stop for fuel a couple times.

Darrell good luck with the porch. You sound like me, hope it gets done by X.

Okay gotta get moving. Have a good Sunday everyone.

Sitting at airport. Mr I'm in a hurry had to be here soooo early! We couldn't take 20 minutes after the tour was over to walk around the town.... we might miss our plane! Doesn't leave till 4:50. I swear he's in a hurry to die.

The gps directions took us through Senoia and into Harrellson. I had to ask someone where the tour was and she sent us back to Senoia. We did get to see some of the sets without any people around though, so that was nice. I enjoyed it , he got bent out of shape.

The tour was great! Our guide Mike was wonderful! He plays a walker on the show. He was telling us about the makeup and such that they use. He told us about which scenes he was in and which walker he was. Really neat! We got off the bus several times to walk into the buildings and the woods. I loved it!!

I spent $100 at the souvineer shop in Senoia, and I didn't even get myself anything , lol. All for Nicole. Got Jr a calendar for next year. I'm going to try to save up so Nicole and I can come back maybe in the spring and do both tours. I won't be rushed then!!!!

Well.... now our flight has been delayed to 5:25! Old grumpy *** isn't happy about that!

I took a vacation day tomorrow. Dont know what I'll do.

Mike... I usually don't have time to post early, when I first get to work, lol.

Well I better go, he's chompin at the bit to get thru security. Sit in there or sit here at Burger King awhile... I don't see the difference! Ttyl.

Evening everyone. Quiet here, probably spent half the weekend trying to finish building/assembling/painting my porch. Big job, more work than I ever thought it would be but I'm getting close to being finished. Need more hours in the day. Lol.

Hope you all enjoyed the weekend.

Morning all.

Sounds like a good time. Sorry I missed it. Glad you all could get along ok without any chaperones.

Sandy, I vote you just take the day off and relax a little.

Darrell, I found if you paint in the wind around here, Its like using texture paint and keeps things from being slippery. but then again, we usually don't have any wind without dust.

Jamesbo, Happy whitey smakin day. Yes. Sprite, 7up, etc. Don't get me started on the betweens. Mtn. Dew, Squirt, etc.

Welp, I went and bought another atv on Saturday. Almost the same price as buying the parts I'm gonna need.

Then Yesterday we took the family from Germany up into the forest to do some shooting. They arent allowed to back home, so it may be the only time they get the chance. The youngest boy did pretty good with the little .22. and mom and dad sure did well with the 9.

Have a great Monday all.

Been kinda an interesting mawn'in round ere. I'll have to tell ya 'bout it when I have more time

De only thing I hate more dan paint'in is hang'in wall paper. Usually, I need a couple of cups of courage before I start,

Sandy, I've found dare are people [like me] who are constantly early and utters dat are constantly late [won't mention any names. BUT, I will say no one ever ax de Super model to bring appitizers to a get together. Da say, Why don't you bring a desert

Happy Monday everyone.

I don't know where this rain came from, but I hope it clears out by this afternoon so they don't cancel the Summit cruise in. It's the last one for the year and I've talked my neighbor into going with his Camaro.

Work on the blue van continues. I've got some of the painted parts on but darkness overcame me so I planned on finishing up today. We'll see. I keep finding more things to do. I found the exact paint I needed in a rattle can so I can paint the bumper filler at home. Wouldn't mind getting it all back together so I don't have to drive the dogs around in the Saturn again.

Guess I'll do some inside stuff after I get back from the Awful house. Sometimes I wish I liked coffee, so I could just sit there and drink coffee like everyone else does. I never see anyone sitting there just drinking Coke.

Okay off I go. Have a good day everyone.

Monday "Howdy" to da' Oldsmofriends

Whelpt, it sounds as if it's all been said by Mike & Sandy & Jamesbo, but I certainly want to echo the warm and bittersweet feelin's we all had upon departure from the Cyclorama. Daria and I thoroughly enjoyed the great Oldsmo-camaraderie, and it was so great to finally meet Mike & Sandy & Larry... I think I can say under oath that "a good time was had by all." Great to see you & the Supermodel, Jamesbo.

Certainly want to make this an annual event, with possibly a different venue -- even if it's in Hotlanta again next time. We could do different stuff and eat at a different "hi-cal" (and hi-fun) restaurant. (I had to go and eat everything on my plate -- but it was so good, I couldn't stop). That squash souffle was to die for, Jamesbo, as you said. I'm hoping the WHOLE Oldsmogang makes the next one. But as long as we get a quorum, I hope to be there...

Sandy, it was a pleasure meeting Larry.... he was very nice and blended in swell with the gang. You should be proud
I know you're gonna' post some of those hundreds of pictures you took... but I'll PM you my e-mail address and if you get a chance, please e-mail me a slew of them!
Glad y'all enjoyed the Zombie Tour.

Thanks for the well-wishes for Aunt Connie, Adrian. If there was a fly in the ointment, it was the call I got on my way down to Hotlanta Saturday morning telling me that she had another "fall" (how can you fall if you're immobile?) and she was back on her way to the emergency room. So she was admitted to the hospital Saturday evening and thank God, she's resting comfortably in the hospital right now, away from the horrible nursing home. We decided we can't send her back there.... I'd swear they were trying to kill the poor girl. My two brothers and two other aunts and I need to figure out where she'll go when she's discharged this time.

Anyhoots, lotsa' stuff to do in the mountains -- we went for a long walk on the TVA - Lake Chatuge Dam this morning, then stopped at the Heavenly Bake Shop in Young Harris for "breakfast dessert" on the way back. Yesterday, we hiked a couple of the many trails at Jackrabbit Mountain.

So let me get kickin' -- can't believe it's afternoon already....

Y'all have a great Monday!

Evening All!

We had a nice day here today. Sunny and around 54 degrees. Cold morning though.

Had an uneventful flight home, once we got in the air. I saw where you work, Mike! There were planes in a lot of the bays. Most of the bay doors were open.

I guess it's good to be home. It was nice to have my own pillow last night!

John... I'll send some pics - some are fuzzy cause of the lack of light inside the Fox. I deleted a lot of them.

I enjoyed having the day off today. Larry took off too. I slept in till 8:30 and just puttered around all morning. Then Nicole and I went over to Stow and met my Marc at Red Lobster and he bought lunch for my birthday! We made arrangements last week. I told him Nicole was home today and he said bring her along so I did. I had fried scallops and shrimp. Yummmmmmmm!

Got home 3ish and had to gather up the material and stuff and I took Teepo over to Curly's at 4:00. So she'll be over there at least a week. I went out and swept out the garage this evening and put Tincanio in there.

Nicole and I wore our Walking Dead Darryl shirts today. Some of the stuff I got her I'll save for Christmas presents.

Well I guess I better get off here. Back to work tomorrow. Have a good night.

Evening everyone. Sunny here today and it made it to a balmy 60. Nothing much exciting here today. I heard from the guy who bought the Eldorado, he drove it from Long Island to Milford, PA, Toledo, Chicago and eventually to Gran Rapids MI. He plans on getting it painted at his friend's Cadillac dealership and using it as a collector car. Glad to see it did not get 20's on it, boom boxes and left outside to rot.

Clint - that's funny about the sand painting in your area. I will say, the wind has been pretty strong here the last few days so it does not give me much time to fix runs.

Sandy - glad to hear you had a great trip and arrived back home safely.

Welp, have a good night Oldsmofriends.

So he drove the Caddy as far West as Chicago, then back to Michigan, or does he plan on getting to Grand Rapids at a later date to have it painted? Only one Cadillac dearlership in G.R., Harvey Cadillac.

Mornin all. I lost the worm to a guy from down under.

Adrian, how warm is it getting down there?

Darrell, good to hear the caddy made it. I hope he takes good care of it.

John, I hope you find a good solution for Aunts living arrangements. I sure don't envy y'all.

Dad found out he's not approved for near what he thought he was for a mortgage. So the last month we spent looking for houses completely out of his price range was a total waste of time. Now he is pouting and doesn't even want to look. Arg. at least his landlord stopped by yesterday and told him he didn't have to move out when his lease is up at the end of the year. he is trying to rent a house from the daughters of the neighbor that died last month. That would make him and mom just about next door neighbors. I don't know how that'll work.

I'm taking the germans to Colo. Spgs. today to see the Garden of the Gods, and then the Cave of the winds. The boys should like that.

Cold 0*C this mornin. Drizzled almost all of yesterday. I sure didn't sleep worth a crap. My jaws tell me I've been clenching.

Have a great day all.

Morning All!

Oh the joys of being back in the hot box where it's a balmy 78 friggin degrees! I went and put on my skort and tank top.... even though it's 34 degrees outside! Both Clay and Steve have their heaters just blasting....

We have sun today and supposed to get in the 50's, rain later in the week.

So we watched Sunday night's episode of the WD last night, and in the scene where Darryl and them are driving to go look for antibiotics and they run into that huge herd of walkers, and they end up having to get out of the car and take to the woods, there's our tour guide Mike as one of the walkers!!! It was so neat to see him in action, lol. Just thought I'd throw that in, lol.

Didn't miss anything around here while I was gone. Still quiet and slow.

Darrell... good that the guy didn't have anything bad to say about the car, lol. He must be happy with it.

Clint... hope your dad can find a place. That sucks....

Adrian... Happy Birthday! Don't know if it is today, or if it was yesterday, over there, lol.

Well you all have a great day!

Agreed .... I've been around plenty of Black Labs in my life , and they seem like a decent candidate too . They can get a little over protective or nippy at times it seems though .

That's about the only " series " type show I ever watched in my life , because it seems like with these types of shows there is 15 minutes of show , and 45 minutes of commercials . That's why I never watch them type of shows , but WD seems pretty cool . My wife and kids watch it . I don't watch it religiously , but one thing always bothered me about it .... The walkers are always in the endless pursuit for food , and if you get bit , you become one of them right ? Well how do you become one of them if they eat you ? Do they only take a few bites or what lol . can they eat each other ? I know it's only a show , but I would be setting up some massive traps to collect a few hundred of these things at a time , and then set them ablaze if it were me .

I've raised Pointers and Black labs all my life and here’s my take

Never try to murder the owner of a Golden, you might get bitten.

Never break into the house of a Black Lab, you might get bitten.

Never go into the yard of a Chesapeake, You might get bitten.

Quick "Hi" to all from da' mountains.... Super nice weather, although to be perfect, it'd have to be a little less humid.
Went to the Home Despot and got some plumbing and painting mat'ls for a couple little projects around here; did the plumbing stuff today, and will start Jamesbo's favorite pasttime perhaps this evening or tomorrow.

Thanks, Clint. My brothers, other aunts, and I are scrambling to try to get her a bed in another home before she's discharged from the hospital tomorrow... we'll be cutting it close. You woulnt' believe the bruising she has on her body. It's downright appalling. I'm hoping not to have to go down there before our scheduled departure date.

Happy BD, Adrian!

Y'all have a great resto' Tuesday....

Howdy everyone.

This might be a surprise to some, but I'm sort of partial to German Shepherds. My parents had a GSD before I was born and to hear them talk about her she was a person just like them.

John I feel so bad for your aunt. I wish I had the answer for you. When are you leaving for home?

Sandy did you recognize any of the town when you were watching the show?

Clint when you're in Colorado Springs go to the restaurant that is part airplane. What a cool place. The building is literally built around the side of the airplane.

Ah time for work. Don't think it's going to be quite so cold tonight, but I need to find a jacket just in case. The one I had last week I wore while rolling around in the dirt and I haven't washed it yet.

Okay have a good night everyone.

Good evening everyone!

Last night was busy, but at least by choice.

A friend has offered the use of his lift to do the under car projects I want to get done.

Last evening, I went straight from work to bowling. I pre-bowled for last night's games. I did 3 games in 45 minutes. Then it was home for a quick dinner and over to work on the car for 3 hours.

The weather has either been wet, cold or both. Last night it went down to -10*C. I'm not ready for this!

It felt good to be working on the Cutlass again.

Work is going to be busy for the rest of the week and into next.

John, good luck with your Aunt.

Adrian, Happy Birthday!

Evening everyone. Cold here today, not that it mattered since I was inside most of the day. My little guy was home sick today so I basically did job work in my office. Can't complain too much he did not miss a day in kindergarten and this is his first absence in 1st grade. I figured I'd let him slide when he said he was not feeling well. Seems to be better now, hopefully back in school tomorrow. Just in time for the math test. LOL

Happy Birthday Adrian. Hope you enjoyed the day.

John -sorry to hear about your aunt. Hope you can get her situation straightened out soon.

Sandy - I watched the last episode Monday, I liked it when Darryl backed up the car in that scene over a few zombies and basically got stuck there. Tires spinning and blood everywhere. I still don't understand how the people in the cell block got sick and turned into zombies. I thought that only happened when they were bit? Did I miss something?

He said that the guy who owns the dealership was a good friend of his. He was going to have his guys go through it and fix anything it needed (not much) and also strip it and repaint it. Target date to finish is by April.

Well, have a good night everyone.

Mornin all,

Darrell hope the boy starts to feelin better.

Paul, what kind of project do you have going in with the Cutlass?

Mike we were there yesterday at the Garden of the Gods, and the Cave of the winds. But we didn't have time to stop for dinner. They move at a much slower pace than Americans do. (At least my wife and I) We could get many more sites in, but we just don't seem to get as much accomplished as I would expect.

Agree Jamesbo. Wonderful critters. Altho I seem to gravitate to the ACD's. I still miss 'Wally' our last Golden.

Sandy, I'll have to wait till Sunday to watch last weeks episode. Company heads back to Europe on Saturday.

Prof. You should be taking video of such stunts. Not much more amusing than discombobulated minors.
