Chris, yes a Studebaker, but not sure of the exact year. I believe that they ran that body style from about 1954 through 1958, though I wouldn't swear on it. Norm, about ten years ago I was cruising on a local street, and pulled up along a Wildcat identical to this one (1969), an older couple was driving it. I never saw it again. This one was originally from the Detroit area, and now resides in Luther, Mi. northeast of Baldwin.
A well-behaved but young (2-3 yrs old) chocolate lab was tempting fate running about the front of the house deciding if he should tackle some rolling vehicle tires until I (noticing he had a collar) stepped in. I called the telephone # on the collar & his owner picked him up.
Wonderful you took the initiative to step in and save him Norm. Thanks for being a good Samaritan! 👍

Dan - I did some online sleuthing and I believe the large fins on the rear of the Studebaker are the telling feature. I believe it's a 1959 Studebaker Silver Hawk.
Bought a Cook's sign on Ebay, but it was local, so I went to Linton and got it, along with another CV sign he sold me. Tornado warnings up there tonight.
I still need a Studebaker 1955 2 door sedan late run with bigger V8, standard, with OD for the hill climb.

Chris , i remeber you have an electrical fan in front of the radiator. Is this somehing you are satisfied with ? Maybe would nice to have in traffic jams idling in the hot weather.
Some people here say that this engines are build
to cope with much higher temps than we have here and it,s no need for this. But many here use this electric fans when cruising and idling hot summerdays.

Glenn - Here we can expect temperatures above 90°F/31°C from the beginning of June thru the end of September, and even have several days near 100°F/38°C. The 17" (I think?) electric pusher fan I have in front of my radiator is a life saver in slow (<30mph) or stopped traffic in these kinds of temperatures. Even on 100°F/38°C days, the fan has kept the car below 205°F/96°C when I've been stuck at a stoplight or slow moving traffic. The fan is wired to a toggle switch at the bottom of my dash and I can turn it on whenever I need it. I'll usually turn it on when it creeps near 200°F/93°C. I couldn't use my car here in the Summer if I didn't have it. Someone with better mechanical skills than I have could probably figure out a better solution, but it has worked well for me in the 7-years I've had the car.

Well, I didn't procrastinate for a change and got out this morning before it got too warm to cut and yank the wild grapevine out of the shrubbery in the back bed behind the house. The bed itself needs to be weeded also, but that will be another day. Sure wish I could use Round-up on the weeds back there but Dawn doesn't want the chemicals around the dogs. Maybe she would like to pull the weeds?
It's up to 90° now headed towards about 93° and humid. Major storm front coming thru between 6 and 8pm, with a Tornado watch in effect. I hope we don't get it too bad!
Hope everyone is having a great day and has a wonderful evening! 😃
Bought this morning - 2026.5 Nissan Rogue Rock Creek. Cars are mere commodities - like picking out a toaster.
Norm - Is it brand new, or used and extremely low mileage? Very sharp looking! Is it AWD or just FWD? Congrats! I had an '84 Nissan Supercab 4WD for many years that I put >250K-miles on before I sold it. It was a great little truck!
John, sweet sign. Norm the Nissan looks really nice. Did you hear? Uranus has been renamed due to the negativity and childish ties to the human anatomy. It's now called Urectum. I'll show myself out.
I've been evaluating priorities. I'm not convinced I have any further need of the diesel tractor, so I may elect to sell it & the 12' trailer occupying space in the open-air detached garage. I'll give it more thought in the coming days but what's the sense paying vehicle insurance on a truck & trailer? I'm like a dog looking for hydrant to **** on.
Norm- Congrats on the new wheels. I am not familiar with the Rogue line is this model a hybrid. I'll have to look at Motorweek to see if they have an episode with the details. Looks nice. When do you take delivery

Norm - I completely understand your conundrum! Certainly something to think about? Dawn's furniture refinishing is essentially non-existent right now, and we haven't bought a new piece of furniture in many moons, but I still need my truck for the rare instances where Dawn and I need to travel to separate places. If it weren't for that, I sure wouldn't miss not having the extra inspections/registrations/insurance on the truck. I guess the other use for the truck is using it to go out if we have extremely snowy conditions or high threat of hail even though the Sante Fe has AWD. I'd much rather beat up a 2000 truck than the newer car if I were to get in some kind of fender bender or get caught in a hail storm.

Keith - They do make a Rogue PHEV (Plug-In) hybrid. Actually, I was hoping to evaluate the PHEV model - dealership had none. That was my 1st choice for a Rogue - but, alas. The dealership is ~1hr North & they're going to drop it off at my house for me. I'm not certain what day I take delivery - in a day or two I imagine.
I could use a tractor trailer for the Ventrac but I imagine they will sell together.
Nissans are not bad. They do weird electrical things. I would buy Toyota, Honda, and Nissan. Not Mazda, Suzuki, Izuzu, and especially not Mitsubishi. Subaru only if you want what they do. I also stay away from Korean cars.

Thanks for info Chris , yes it would be nice to have an electric fan to switch on in stopped traffic and slow speed. When we
drive cruising here cars can go less 30 mph / and many stops for hours in warm weather. But later years we have drove the
car like cruise-in , parked it and went home later. But an electrikal fan could be less stressful in roadwork stops.

Norm 1 question.[actually 2 ] Does it have an ash tray and a cigar lighter?

No ash tray no cigar lighter. One of several electronic ports is a charging port which can be used as a cigar lighter (cigar lighter optional). They sell a ceramic lined ash tray which fits into one of the cup holders.

I looked at some Ventrac grapple videos last night. I think it was the HE200? Interesting grapple. I've heard similar regarding weird electrical things - unclear which parts, screens, electronics, etc. but did hear they were expensive to fix. I might re-visit my extended warranty options.
Norm good show on the new ride. I didn't think you wanted something brand new. That's okay, it's got a warranty and probably a couple free oil changes. And now you'll be like the dad in Wonder Years when he buys a new car. You'll be king of the neighborhood all afternoon.
Okay I hope this works. Here is a picture of my house before I had all that crap cut down in front.
Well, this is gonna take awhile so I'll post it later.
Work is moving right along this morning. Nothing has broken for a few days and we've been turning out a good amount of wheels. We're working overtime Saturday so that will help.
