Overcast, already 79°, and very humid this morning. Multiple bands of storms are supposed to move thru throughout the day, some possibly severe. Rinse and repeat tomorrow. Glad I got my mowing done yesterday.
Big news for today is it's Dawn's birthday! No big plans for today, we'll celebrate on a day that's not quite as hectic. She's going to the Kindergarten graduation of our youngest granddaughter on her side this afternoon. I'm staying home to watch over the dogs because of the storms.
This evening I'm planning on going to Keegan's last Spring Ice Hockey game if the weather is not too bad.
Meant to mention this in my earlier post. The new battery got here for the Indian yesterday on schedule and in good condition. It needs to have the acid put in it and be charged. I had meant to have the Indian disassembled and the old battery out by the time the new one got here but procrastination got the better of me again! I'm seeing a pattern that normally is not like me! Ugh! 😔
Current status (1pm) of storms moving across Missouri. You'll see Arnold and Festus along the far right side of the screenshot. We're almost exactly halfway in between the two. We'll have several more hours of this rolling thru. Heavy rain with lightning/thunder right now, with Monty in the bathroom in meltdown mode.
I've been crushing the ball. Made some improvements w/ my short game, but still requires more practice. Took first place in mini-Ryder Cup this morning.

That's awesome Norm, glad you're playing so well! 👍

Chris - You're retired. Put off until tomorrow which you could have done today.
Should be a hard fought Game 7 between the Sabres and Canadians in Buffalo tonight. I'm rooting for Buffalo only because I have relatives there. Winner will face the Hurricanes in one semi-final, the Avalanche vs Vegas Golden Knights in the other. I'll be recording it because I'll be at Keegan's between 6:30 and 8.
Hi , replaced the battery in one of the Automowers but it lasted for 9 years so thats good , so
glad we purchased these so we don´t need to mow for hours. We have about 3800m2 grass area.
Replaced the rear tire on my wife,s Street Bob , forecast is warmer weather so we should talk out the bikes
for a little ride ( i hope ). Only one badger in the trap so far and thats nice , better they stay in the woods.
It,s nice weather to be in the woods and take care of tree tops and branches from the timber we sold , but now i need to
take it a little easy because both back and knees are sore . The old ATV works nice so i don´t have to walk so much.
Super model has a new toy Kayak A college friend who is a sho nuf kayak nut case [ all the major white water rivers' is gonna teach her jhow to paddle today

Hope everybody have a nice week.
Glenn - Nice to hear you're finally having some nicer weather and get some debris cleaned up in the woods. Be careful and rest up!
I watched the SAS vs OKC NBA game last night until the end of regular game time (~11:00pm) when it was tied going into OT. Glad I went to bed. Ended up a double OT game (win for SAS). Great game to watch. I've been lucky to watch some exciting basketball games this season thus far.

Sure sounds like a great game. I watched the Sabres lose Game 7 to the Canadians in O/T last night, also a very great game and series. I think the Canadians will have a tough time against Carolina in the Semi's (starts 5/21). First game of the Semi's on the other side of the bracket, Avalanche vs Golden Knights, starts tomorrow, 5/20.
My 2,4 D amine application appears to be a success. Lots of warnings about applications to centipede grass. I reviewed many sites, threads, reviews, etc. regarding its application; and, of course the label instructions. People either don't know how to read, don't understand what they read, or don't possess basic math skills - likely a combination. One bloke couldn't understand why his centipede grass died after he applied 100 times the recommended application rate. Our education system requires an overhaul.
I had mentioned it had been storming all day yesterday. When I went to head out to Keegan's game yesterday evening I headed out via what we call "the back way" to the nearest main road because it is the closest route to Arnold where the hockey rink is. To go that way you have to cross a short stretch of road with a low water culvert. When I went out, there was maybe 4 or 5-inches of water over the road at most and I had no issues whatsoever crossing in my truck. It continued raining very hard while I was at the hockey rink. I tried to come home the same way I went out and was greeted by this sight! I may be dumb, but I ain't stupid! No way in hell I was going to try and cross that even with the 4x4 truck!

Discretion is often the better part of Valor. I probably would have went on across had it not been for the large log that was stuck directly across the road, that was the real kicker!
Nope, the road is not washed out. It just looks like it because the road dips down there because of the culvert that goes underneath it. That stretch of road is outside of our city limits, but I've heard from multiple sources that the County has approved funds to enlarge the culvert and improve the crossing. I haven't heard any timeframe yet though.

If you had some sense of community responsibility you'd have walked out there & removed those logs!
