In the Heart of the Sea is a great movie, saw it a couple of years ago. I saw Tommy when I was in high school, senior year I believe, with a girl that I was dating at the time. It was cool in that era, but not now. I tried to watch it last year again. Nope. I've seen The Who three times, Pink Floyd twice, and Roger Waters, The Wall. I saw the first film version of The Wall roughly 45 years ago, again with a date. There is a later version of it released in 2014, titled Roger Waters, The Wall. It is the concert with sort of a documentry with Roger driving with a friend recalling parts of his life. It is good in my opinion as well. It gives a little insight as to why he has a very strong anti war theme in his concerts. Pink Floyd is definitely my favorite band. Got the pack boots today, look and fit good. Ordered some over the top artic mittens on the advice of a co worker, only took two days to get here. They are designed to go up and over the sleeves of your coat, coming up to the elbows. Should do the trick.

John - Yes, shipping logistics are whacked after this winter storm.
Dan - Happy your package arrived in a timely fashion.

To my chagrin, my package arrived just as I had given up hope ten minutes ago. I am delighted. Too late in the day & getting too cold to work on headlamps. Almost done rewiring the ballast bypass. Glad I spent extra time evaluating types of T5 LED tubes this morning along w/ various ballast bypass schematics. It takes me longer to clean these enclosures than it does for me to remove the ballasts & rewire.

Norm - Glad your headlamps got there! 👍 Our new 5,000 Watt / 240V heater for the basement got here today too. Our electrician friend down the street is going to come by in the morning to see where we want it installed relative to the Breaker Box and estimate what will be needed to complete the install. He's betting he already has everything we'll need at his house since he still does many small jobs on the side to supplement their retirement.

Chris - Thanks. Ballast bypass wiring complete. The new headlamps look awesome. Hoping Lowe's Home Improvement stocks the T5 LED tubes I need - I'll check on-line after some dinner. Install headlamps in the morning & head to Lowe's, hopefully. Glad your new electric heater arrived. Simple straight-forward install for that thing. Remember to mount the unit w/ the controls in a user friendly appropriate orientation. Good Luck & enjoy.

Gabe's team played a helluva game tonight. I did not realize it until a few minutes into the game when my SIL told me they were playing the same team they beat in the Championship Game of the Tournament 3-2 on Monday. I didn't realize it because the other team was wearing different uniforms than on Monday. Gabe's team was never behind, and then blew the game wide open with a 4 goal 3rd Period to win 8-4. Gabe scored 2 goals and had 2 assists, and was named one of the honorary Captains for their next game.

WTH, are you intercepting my mail? I just got a damn hardcopy reminder of that appointment in the mail today! Not looking forward to it, not at all! The SOB's better disclose where the disconnect is between what they have in their Database for me, and what Login.gov and ID.me has already rigourously vetted and authenticated so I can establish my SSA Account online. I'm not going to go thru the rest of my days having to go thru these dumbass phone appointments to deal with them. I've already ID'd my newest U.S. Representative from my District and my next step will be an incredibly descriptive letter to said Representative about the ineptitude of the SSA and their online system that is supposed to expedite the process, but instead provides 2-hr wait times only to ask you to make an appointment. They're a F'ing joke!

Boy Howdy I accomplished a lot. Headlamp(s) installation complete - an annoyance/nuisance, but finished. I have not aligned the headlamps - they're certainly misaligned, I'll work on that later (tomorrow). The new headlamps are fantastic. To get to the headlamps I had to remove my large grille guard (last week). That still needs to be re-installed (no biggies). I looked at the fog lamps and they seriously need replacement. So, MAW R&R some new fog lamps especially while the grille guard is off the truck.

I had already finished installing a new MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensor into the air breather/cleaner AEM tube assembly several days ago because I had to remove the AEM tube assembly to R&R the MAF. Did a super-cleaning of the washable AEM air filter over several days last week. The AEM air filter replaces the OEM air filter assembly - a solid upgrade on these trucks I performed ~20 yrs. ago. Installed the AEM air filter tube assembly, then went to grocery store. Cleared all DTC codes before leaving. Much to my surprise, I have now no DTC codes - at all. What a bonus! I've learned through several vehicles electrical/electronic fuel injection systems are capable of throwing DTC codes if/when even one device/sensor isn't functioning. This appears to be the case here. Electrical/Electronic systems aren't necessarily a big deal, but you have to know what to expect from each sensor in the entire system. End of day - no DTC codes and the truck has completed its new "learning curve".

Overhead man-cave lamp fixture installed & wired. I don't have tubes, as yet. I ordered a set (x4) of LUXRITE 4FT T5 LED Tube Lights, Type B, 24W=54W, 4 Colors 3500K | 4000K | 5000K | 6500K, 45.79", Single and Double End Powered, Ballast Bypass, 3200LM, F54T5 Fluorescent Replacement, UL, DLC (4 Pack). I wired the fixture to accommodate Double-End Powered (hopefully). I did not wire the fixture for Single-End Powered (in which case I'd need to shunt one end). We'll see when they arrive.

I'm starving - I could eat the North end of a South bound mule.

So, Chris, as a guy with the name, is the colloquial term to vomit spelled "to ralph" or "to ralf"?

That's a peculiar term - ralph &/or ralf. Most often someone tossing their cookies, I'll say barf/barfing (blow'n chunks).

So as not to degrade my own name, I'd have to say the correct terminology is "to ralf".

Helluva football game Chiefs over the Bills, 32-29! Now comes the chance for the Chiefs to do something that's never been done in the history of the NFL, a SuperBowl 3-Peat!

What’s that word when a language adopts a term (word) based on how it mimics something (like a sound). Oncotopenia or something.

I’ve also heard seen it said/spelled “Rolf”.

Hi guys,

Beautiful day today, high of about 47° and sunshine. Daily highs in the high 40's and mid-50's in the forecast for the next 10-days. I'll take it, gets us that much closer to Spring.

Didn't do much today other than my usual workout. Dawn made Breakfast for Dinner, scrambled eggs, sausage patties, and toast and jelly. It was a nice change. No hockey games to go to for awhile. Gabe's team will be playing in a big Tournament up on the northwest side of Chicago (near Niles) this coming weekend. I'm sure the competition will be fierce.

I hope everyone has had a great day!

Yes, it was nice today. I stayed home and worked from home as I think I got a cold traipsing around TMMK this past Friday.

The Etsy bootleg The Wall arrived. It looks nice. Will play it sometime. It's wound wrong, you store quad reels tails out, so the first thing you do is rewind it onto a takeup reel, then play it in full (there's only one "side") and it lays nicely on the reel for the album. This one is wound heads out, so, if it IS truly quad and one sided, I will have to play it onto a takeup reel, rewind it onto a second takeup reel, then play it back onto its reel so it ends up tails out. I had to do that with my other bootleg quad album when I got it. Seems like these guys know audio, but don't know how to keep tape.

Norm - Here's a little more info on Gabe's Tournament in Chicago. They will be playing games in 2 different locations. They will have at least 2 games at the "Polar Dome" which is just 5-miles directly north of Elgin on Hwy 25, and at least 1 game at the "Niles Outdoor Ice Arena", which is a canopied open air rink. Was it you that was from Elgin, or was it Mike, I was thinking one of you guys was from there?
