I hear ya! Even after eating a bunch of pizza, it was a struggle to stop at just two!

Good morning everyone.

Slow start to work is getting slower. There's a breakfast being served somewhere in the hangar, and everyone has gone to it. Well, a few people(like me) didn't. I'll enjoy the extended break. I'm going to lunch today anyway.

Chris I'm not a beer person but one sounds good. Two sounds better. And pizza sounds good anytime.

Think I'll wash the Mercedes this afternoon. Maybe get a battery for it. I keep saying I want to sell it but I put no effort into doing that. So today is the day. I wish I knew someone who was into these cars and could tell me what it's worth. I know I'm gonna take a bath on it but I want to minimize doing so.

Donuts! Roy brought donuts. I'm pretty sure they will be better than anything they're getting in the hangar. Hope everyone has a good day. Hump Day!

Put away Olds yesterday- what a downer... Weather has been soooooo nice we went for a boat ride yesterday- i guess I will take boat out today- Hate to. There is only 6 boats left out on lake as of 10/29. Neighbor told of how last year she and hubby left their boat out until there was a 1/2" ice covering on lake! She said it was noisy and a little scarry taking it over to boat launch!

Don't ya just wonder where in the hell summer went? I can't believe Winter is just around the corner. I won't put my car away for good for a few weeks yet. I bet that trip to the boat launch for your neighbors was nerve wracking. Sounds like a mini-version of Titanic!

Norm - It does look tasty!
I looked up Tuxedo Bar Cake and found this definition: "Tuxedo bar cakes often have layers of chocolate cake, chocolate mousse, white chocolate mousse, and chocolate ganache. The cake can also include a cream cheese mousse layer." Layers, I'm not seeing it???

Must be cake night though. Wife made her Triple chocolate, cherry cake. Devils Food cake with chocolate chips and cherry pie filling in the cake batter, with chocolate fudge icing. You can see the cherries thru the glass in the 2nd pic. Nope, I'm not trading!

Chris - Nam, nam, nam, nam, nam that looks great. Yeah, this Tuxedo Bar Cake has none of that stuff - no layers of anything especially no layers of mousse. I'd love a layer of chocolate ganache. I love chocolate mousse. Ah well, live & learn.

Hell, layers or no layers, if it's sweet and tastes good that's all that matters. I just like to have something sweet after dinner!

I amped the meatloaf recipe up 50% to make three instead of two. Should be done here shortly.

John - Fresh meatloaf hot out of the oven. Nam, nam, nam, nam, nam. I'm stuffed but I could tackle a piece. Enjoy.

Chris - Good luck w/ the front passing through St. Louie ~3am tomorrow morning. That's a pretty tight frontal boundary - tightly packed isobars = strong high pressure & strong winds. Batten down the hatches.

Norm -.Thanks for the warning. I knew it was coming thru overnight and early morning, but haven't read anything about it being possibly severe. I was more worried about it getting past us by tomorrow evening so the grandkids could enjoy their Halloween.

Meatloaf looks great! Didn't end up getting boat out of water yesterday, maybe today- if not raining.

Good morning everyone.

Friday for me. Quick flight to Daytona tomorrow and I'll be amongst friends I don't see very often.

Can't beat meatloaf.

Felt pretty good this morning but suddenly the touch and goes hit me and I can't keep my eyes open. Maybe a walk down to the roll up door is in order.

Hope everyone has a good day.

The front didn't turn out to be too bad. Fairly strong wind and heavy rain, but not alot of lightning/thunder which I was thankful for, for Monty's sake..

Escaped the usual dog trauma from lightening/thunder only to be rudely awakened by a thunderous crash in our bedroom at 0700. One of the fairly heavy curtain rod brackets came loose from the heavy duty double sided tape holding it up and the metal rod crashed onto the wood floor making a helluva racket. Scared the bejesus out of all of us! That got both the dogs up, who then both had to go outside to do their business, one at a time of course, first one, then the other. Since it was still lightly raining, both needed to wiped down before they could get back into bed, needless to say I was wide awake by this point and just stayed up.

PT this morning at 1030.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Chris - Nice you made it through unscathed. My H.D. curtain rod brackets are all screwed into wall studs. That's a helluva wakening.

Mike got the itis, at least temporarily.

Rain came through this AM, pouring. I heard water pounding my sidewalk, so I went outside, got up on my brick patio wall, reached up, and grabbed a clump of leaves off my downspout screen and got those pipes running better. Otherwise, I can get a small puddle in the basement right there, although my house system does move a lot of water. On the new house, I need better gutters.

I don't use double sided tape to hold anything up. Screw those into studs, Chris. Drill pilots first.
