The *NEW* Good Morning Thread!
Just heard from Izzy, Jim is doing better, his oxygen level is up and they are encouraged. Not a big update but a huge one just the same.
So I'm at 44 wheels. The guy who sits across from me is gone, so I had two wall guys. My wall guy went to a meeting(I think he's just screwing off) so I'm back to one wall guy. We still have an hour so I might hit 50. That would be nice.
The computer says it's 78 and sunny. I'm gonna walk down to the roll up door in a minute to see it. Even though this is a giant room we work in, sometimes I feel a little claustrophobic since there aren't any windows.

Agree 100%! Stock Market hit an all time high yesterday, yet prices continue to surge upward. That does not jive. Rich are getting richer, and Middle and Lower incomes are getting the beat down.
I found the quote:
Jared Bernstein, Council of Economic Advisers chairman:
"real wages and wage growth continue to beat price growth"
I dunno about everyone else, but my wage increases have not been outpacing inflation for quite some time now. This means I have effectively been on a decreasing pay scale for years.
JIM, get better soon buddy, we like having you here. Recipes and blurry pics are needed. In the last year, I have gotten just over 12% in raises via union negotiations, but I still thnk that ****'s getting too expensive. Chris, love the family pic.
I read online news a few days ago where some administration person said sure, prices are up but so are wages so there's not a problem.

Excellent.

That’s my kinda brownie!
Norm, the movie is good and the book was even better. I’m glad I read the book before seeing the movie, I think it really helped me appreciate it more.

Okay Jamesbo! Now I can leave poor Izzy alone.
Good morning everyone.
Slept right to the alarm this morning. Twas nice. Rattled around and got ready to go then took Tiger to Mom's and off I went. Not many people here for overtime, here's me not caring. Finished yesterday with 60 wheels. Nice.
Norm you know the brownie was invented in Chicago.
We are getting a 5% raise starting June 1. Depending on what message the company wants to send at a particular time, we are either outpacing our traffic from before the pandemic, or we are on the way to catching up to traffic from before the pandemic. And then it comes out that the chairman gets $34 million. Seems ****-eyed. Eh, good for him. I think he's a jerk.
Okay time to get ready. Hope everyone has a good day.

Good afternoon guys,
Glad I moved up my schedule for "to do's" today. Weatherman was calling for more rain this afternoon and I really, really needed to get out and mow. Did my workout much earlier than I like to, and then got out to mow about 11am and was done by 1:30. It's 2:40 now and pouring out. Weatherman was actually right for a change.
Gabe has a hockey game tonight that I'm going to. It's time for the new Culver's cruise-in again tomorrow that I'm planning on going to if the weather cooperates, and then a StL Cardinals baseball game on Sunday afternoon. Grandson Keegan's Cub Scout troop will be marching on the field before the game for the National Anthem. We'll be busy.
Hope everyone had a great day and has a great weekend! Jim, I hope you're getting stronger everyday and get to go home soon!

Going Mobile is arguably the WORST song on Who's Next, lol.
I picked up an HR complaint. I believe a Japanese person was insulted that I said "baloney" to their claim. So, there's an investigation. I fired back, though. This may get interesting.

Kenneth - I think this is maybe the 4th time I've watched the movie - the 1st time was in the mid-60s. You're fortunate to have read the book prior to watching the movie I'll bet the book is excellent.
I had to look them up:
Macrolides and Fluoroquinolones as 1st defense antibiotics against Legionella followed by Levofloxacin or Azithromycin. I'll say one thing, you're a damn lucky fella they developed those antibiotics because in the grand scheme of things Legionnaires disease is exceedingly rare.

Hope it doesn't get "too interesting" unless they offer ya a really big pot of $'s to leave.
Recalling 'Going Mobile' pushes me into a wonderful time of my life. My Generation was my first The Who album (1966 or 1967). I saw them twice in Chicago (1969/1970). My second The Who album was Tommy. I attended the rock opera 'Tommy' at the Kinetic Playground, Chicago (along w/ Buddy Rich & Joe Cocker) in 1969 about one week before leaving on a jet plane for Europe as an Exchange Student. I had a proclivity for reading why songs were made, album cover(s) artists & the like. Pete enjoyed writing/playing Going Mobile something about his first mobile home. I thought it was a kewl song especially back in the day(s). I was an S.C.C.A. volunteer during the 1969-1972 time span. To this day I recall Going Mobile playing at an in-field Saturday night cookout/party at Elkhart Lake Motor Speedway in Wisconsin one time. As volunteers we got to attend these Saturday night cookouts with the pit crew(s) and driver(s). I never met them but I was (wet behind the ears) walking about w/ Roger Pensky & Mark Donahue at several Road America SCCA events. I generally was either a corner worker or a timer/scorer.
