I don't think you two have the same mindset about this car. Mike would drive it into the ground, and Chris would restore it as a show car.

I agree 100% with you Kenneth, we don't have the same mindset at all. I'm just saying for what the guy is asking, the Pewter car being a 4-speed, and already having all the drivetrain and chassis work done, would be a great starting point for making an outstanding Local Show Car which is what I'd use it for. I'm not talking about a Concours level resto, just a really nice car.
Felt great to swing a golf club (on the range). First time in over one month (since surgery). Lesson(s) learned: Slow down, stand still (do not lunge), right arm pit tight w/ rib cage & maintain lag swing profile. My new (used) eBay 8-iron wasn't here in time to take to the range. Should be here today - need to put on a new grip (I have 3 or 4 on-hand).
Norm good to hear you have been out swinging the bats. Hope all keeps progressing to your liking
Keith - Thanks for the well wishes. I appreciate it.
My new (used) replacement Callaway X20 8 iron I bought on eBay arrived. Excellent condition, better condition than the one I lost. I'll change the grip tomorrow.
It's worth pointing out that the hardtop car is two tone painted roof Antique Pewter and black roof, by code on the cowl tag. Not sure why seller is arguing with me on this, I literally own one that color, other than being V-V, not V-2. That handy link in my sig is mainly there for ME to click on when I need that thread, lol.
Precious little going on for overtime this morning. I'm glad I'm not the one who has to answer to the higher ups about why the output is minimal during overtime. Not expecting much out of the day.
Chris I wasn't discounting Norm or John's expertise on 67s, you're just the one who has the most interaction with one. I would, in fact, welcome anyone's opinion about the car.
Think I'll go get a snack and something to drink before we start. Hope everyone has a good day.
Norm, I TOO am on the DL going for MRI Saturday .Rotator cuff
Jim - Hope the results from the MRI just show a strain or overuse, and all you need is to rest it and/or physical therapy. I had rotator cuff issues once and no amount of rest would help. I finally went to see a professional sports medicine group and started a regimen of physical therapy and ultrasound deep heat therapy. I started feeling results after only a few sessions. Wish ya the best buddy!

I just thought in the moment you might have forgotten they had extensive experience with the '67s, plus I wanted to give them some credit for alot of the knowledge I've gained.

Chris - Good advice. As well, I hope an MRI demonstrates manageable results w/o the need for surgery since rotator cuff surgery is such hit or miss (requires, IMO, a highly specialized surgeon to garner meaningful results). The issue is whether there exists any detachment or tears - which will never heal on their own w/o surgical intervention. Like most things, there exists such a plethora of misinformation from hacks. The use of cold compresses is simply pure B.S. when it comes to healing a rotator cuff 'injury' - not a detachment or a tear, but overuse or under use injury. Instead, you want heat & exercise. Heat to dilate the blood vessels w/in the cuff - the more heat the more blood flow, the greater the blood flow, the greater the amount of oxygen to the cuff tendons. For a complete acute (immediate) injury, cold compression to reduce swelling & pain; but, to heal you need headheat (although head can reduce the pain) & modest stretching, exercise. I try to spend a fair amount of time stretching as much as I can - especially when golfing, but as much as I can prior to other activities - it helps a ton.

Norm - A much more detailed explanation than I provided, but Yes. My injury was diagnosed as consisting of many deep micro-tears, probably caused by my weight lifting routine. No way to get enough heat to the deep damaged tissue via exterior applications like hot water bottle or heating pad. The only thing that was going to cut it was the deep heat therapy generated by ultrasound.
Makes we want some right now. I looked into purchasing a deep heat ultrasound several years ago. Price ranges were all over the place; yet, you get what you pay for.

A high quality ultrasound heat device would sure be nice to have if you have a minor strain or pain due to overuse. Certainly the older I get, the more valuable it would become, ya just don't heal like ya used to when you were younger!
My favorite stretch is to grab the top of a room doorway casement molding w/ both hands then find the most comfortable position(s) to completely stretch out my neck, arms, shoulders & back.
Spent two hours on the range. Would have stayed longer but constant 25mph - 27mph winds gusting to 35mph isn't enjoyable.
Got a text message from my friend, Brian, who heads up our 120 member Tidewater Seniors Carolina Golf Assoc. Someone (Roland) turned in my 8-iron to Brian on Monday. LMAO

That sounds like a good way to stretch.
I have Degenerative Joint Disease in the vertebrae/discs in my spine and neck from doing Squats with way too much weight when training in college. My wife bought a nice quality inversion table and it has made all the difference in stretching me back out, and warding off pinched nerves in my back and neck. I use it everyday for about 5 to 10-minutes and it works miracles.

I've seen those. I've never tried one. They look absolutely awesome.
I'm an expert recalling female names & locations from my 1967 4-4-2.
A '66 GTO for this guy, the spacious '68 Delta Custom, along with a reclining seat mazda RX7 (hers, not mine) . Inversion table might help me, severe disc deterioration @ L1 & L2. Dinner looks good Norm.
If I'm upside down more than a few seconds my head starts to throb. Maybe that's what's supposed to happen.
And now back to the Where's the Luck department. The guy that beat me out of the house I wanted to buy, across the street from where I live now, is going to move. He's gonna make over 100K on that place. He's an okay guy, his wife keeps to herself, but I won't miss them. I told him I had to go to closing, and if I didn't like the buyer then the sale was dead.
Wanted to run a couple ideas past my personal banker(my friend the loan shark) but she never got back to me. I keep looking at the pictures of that 442. Maybe wishing it to be will work. You know what they say, wish in one hand...
Like I thought, work was slow all day. It will be slow tomorrow. I do what I'm supposed to.
Wife and I got to see a dandy at Gabe's hockey game tonight. Gabe scored 2 goals in regulation which ended in a 4-4 tie. Since it is just a practice league they do not have an overtime period, they go straight to a shootout. The other team shot first and Gabe's team's goalie made a nice save. Gabe shot first for his team. He got close on the right, faked a shot and got the goalie to drop, then buried it in the upper left corner of the net for the win and his hat-trick. I went crazy and had to get a pic with him after the game!
Slow moving this morning. My wall guy is training someone new. The new guy is actually pretty good, I hope he sticks around.
Chris that's great that Gabe was the star player, I know you're proud. Is hockey his passion? Does he want to go forward and play professionally?
So the guy that lives across the street from me is moving. I wanted to buy his house when it was for sale before but my agent put the screws to me and I missed out by mere hours. The house now is worth about 100K more than when he bought it 5 years ago. Aside from being priced out, the yard is totally inadequate for Tiger. Nice big house though. I could fit 6 cars in the basement.
Another nice day. Yardwork this afternoon. Hope everyone has a good day.

Thanks Mike! Hockey is his passion right now, who knows about the future, he's only 12. I think he will have the physical abilities to go as far as he wants, it will depend on how bad he wants it. I've seen odds like 1 in 1,000 Jr. Hockey players ever make the NHL.
I remember that house now when you said it could fit 6 cars in the basement.
