I had a busy 3 day weekend. Chris and Dawn can flex their guns; I taught people how to shoot theirs, along with a healthy dose of Revolutionary History.
It's been a damn long time since I taught Appleseed two weekends in a row. My colleagues, a man and his wife, have really become involved and teach Appleseed most weekends, whereas I am lucky to do 4 a year. I owed them for my shoot last weekend, so off I went to Georgetown, IN. Stayed in a not bad Hampton Inn, and helped run a great two day shooting clinic for 12 students with the help of 4 other instructors.
Stayed last night, then, this morning, I got the reel to reel tape deck out of the hotel room's closet where I stashed it Friday night, and drove the rest of the way into Louisville and dropped it off at my tape deck (and other things) restoration company. After a good talk, I went further east to the Louisville outlet mall and bought a couple pairs of Oakleys as I do about every decade, then went into Le Creuset for some kitchen toys. Bought some utensils and then called my mom to see if she wanted anything. Had lunch and left.
Drove into town, went into one record store, found one album. Went by another record store, and the place was closing down as the building was sold. Cash only. I found some stuff and was in and out of there in the span of Pink Floyd's Echoes, which was on their system. To be fair, Echoes is a 23 minute song. Left town and played the Meddle album (half of which is that song) in their honor. Got home and unloaded between rain showers. Did not get to swapping out the pipe on the truck; that's going to be this weekend. I think the straight pipe is gassing me, and it's too obnoxious, so a rock auto cat and resonator are going back in.
Return my rental in the morning. I like these Chargers. Then, off to work.

Good early morning everyone.
Things seem to be going along more busier this morning. But at 5 minutes to 5 I still don't have any wheels. Well, as long as someone does.
Gotta take Mom to the doctor after work, so nothing will get done today. Yesterday I painted two walls in the guest bedroom. The rest of the week I think will be working on my stuff.
Dan geez I read what you said to that guy in the 69 442 thread. Why did you hold back?
Looks like something may begin to happen. Hope Tuesday treats everyone well.

Mike, it gets old, someone with no proof, no paperwork, but a 50 year old memory knows it all, and you can't tell them otherwise. We get them from time to time, and it just gets old. I should probably stay away from that thread before i get admonished by admin. Joe P.

Dan - I sure wish I could call myself a "young 'un", well maybe compared to a few friends on here. 
Truth is I'll be 65 in November and starting to feel every year of it. Been doing the weight training and conditioning since in my early teens and have never stopped. My days do not feel right if I miss a workout. Thing I'm most proud of is never a steroid or supplement like HGH, just lots of hard work.

Good start to the morning. I had 4 wheels ready when I got here, and then my slow-*** wall guy came in early and did 8 wheels. Now it's breaktime and I've signed 13 wheels since 6. Hope the rest of the day goes as well.
Chris I'd call you middle aged. If you've been lifting for 50 years why aren't you on the cover of Mens Health?
Another dr's appointment for Mom this afternoon. I don't mind driving her around, but when she groups her appointments close together it makes it hard to get anything else done. And we know how hard it is for me to get anything done anyway.

Not sure what to say about why I've never been contacted to be on the cover of Men's Health, other than I'm sure there are a whole lot of guys my age in better shape than I am. Maybe that should be a goal for my 65th b-day, get myself on the cover of Men's Health? Not!

Not bad for a Hump Day. I ended up with 31 wheels, my wall guy didn't vanish quite as much, and we finished before noon. Of course we sat around until right at 230.
Took Mom to the doctor and then stopped at Awful house to eat. Haven't been there in the evening in forever. Kind of a nice mid week treat.

Norm, I was told it varies alot by patient. could last a week, a year a life time. The knife was not a very good option because 1] long month recovery time 2] old parts don't mend very well. We will see

Good start to the early morning. Signed 10 wheels on overtime. And oddly enough people seem motivated and are working so soon after 6.
Jamesbo I had a shot in my hip, sort of a stop-gap measure to put off surgery. It lasted one day. He said when it's time for a second shot, it won't last longer than the first shot. Initially I was told it would last several months. Gong.
Question about the wheels on the Fiat. They are aftermarket, Koenig wheels. And they are black and ugly as hell. I think they're powdercoated. Can I paint over the powdercoating with a rattle can without causing a lot of grief? The wheels themselves aren't that great looking but if they were silver I think they'd look better. And to that end, what would it entail getting the silver paint off, should the next owner want to do that?
Think I'll go get a snack. Hope everyone has a good Day of Thor(where's Allan?).

The top sash & rail of each window is permanently affixed to the casing - about standard for old homes when people basically didn't take care doing things correctly & instead toss paint at stuff. But, yeah, strip, new glaze & refinish for each window. Top windows remain in-place while being worked. Bottom windows are removed then moved into the man-cave. The most important is weatherproofing the casings so rain water moves to the outside of each casing as opposed to down inside the casing. Tons of scraping & weatherproofing.

Mike, painting the powdercoating would either mean scuffing it (ruining it) or the paint falls off eventually and you touch it up when needed. I would think hand applied stripper would get it off for the next guy. I think you should clean the wheels, mask, and spray bomb that sucker.
Had the battery light come on on the 300k Tacoma last night. Went off after a few miles. I believe an electrical component is starting to leave the building. I may take an extra battery with me in the bed today and some wrenches. I will certainly excuse the alternator if it wants to die after 300k.

More battery light on way into work, then off. Charging less at work than it was in the garage at home. 13.5 V max charge with engine on, all drains other than the powertrain off. I guess the digital clock and cluster.
Alternator, belt, new positive terminal on the way. I'll grab a new battery, too, it's 6 years old.

Alternator in the truck is being courteous. Cold start gives 14.4 volts charging, hot at destination is 13.5 volts. RPM difference is not much, and it should be regulated. Battery IS charging, so that is nice. No light this ride home. Parts on the way, keeping the spare battery in the bed, charging it now. I will go see if the main battery takes any juice, feel like I'm running a Tesla here.
The good news is the straight pipe bought me 25.5 mpg over the normal 23 this last tank. Still putting the new cat on, I do not like the Kawasaki Thunder sound it has now.
