They took the last oldies station off the air the played songs from the 50's through the 70's. Have to use CD's here. Guess we are just a bunch of old rockers.

We still have one here but it's an AM station so as soon as you get about 40/50 miles from it you can no longer pick it up.

You guys need to get you a satellite radio. My wife got me an XM (now XM and Sirrus have merged) about 4 years ago. It is portable and I can put it in either vehicle or take it in my office. It has a 40's, 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's channel and no commercials. The service is only something like 12-13 bucks a month and worth every penny of it. It has any kind of other music you want, sport and weather and traffic. It is one of the neatest things I own. And, you don't have to put up with the 15-20 minutes of uninterupted commercials.

Sandy, look into http://rediscoverradio.com/ for an AM Modulator, I have not personally used one as all my cars have FM but it gives you an audio jack (or line) to plug in an iPod or satellite radio and plays through the original AM radio

I don't remember the Coasters... I have heard that song and I like it!! Just a happy little tune! Dick Clark did look young in that pic. Seems like he never aged on American Bandstand either. It's a shame he's like he is now, after having that stroke, but he keeps going, bless his heart!
Easy to solve! Go youtube & type in coasters! Best: Yackety Yack or Charlie Brown!

Instead of wasting all the ink and time saying what you don't know wouldn't it be a lot simpler just to tell us exacty what you do know Sandy??

You didn't hear that the Browns actually beat Pittsburgh.

What a coincidence?, the Coasters White Christmas just came on the cable TV music Xmas station.
Redgoat and I just may do a cover of that song for our next Xmas album.
He can sing the high part if you goose him with a stick when it's his turn to sing.
I hate when guys do that from behind with the claw of their hammer, a very startling and uplifting experience.
You can ony stand on your tip-toes for so long while begging in a falsetto voice for mercy.

We had a great oldies station here then one day it switched to all south of the border music. XM has been a godsend. 4 of my 5 vehicle are set up for XM, the Cutlass being being just equiped. I also have a dock in the shop.

Since the merger of Sirius and XM there are more commercials and wayyyy too much jabbering on channel 6

Yep,

Those gym girls are so ugly.....................

You could dress them up like a pork roast, make 'em crawl to Valdosta and a dog wouldn't bite them.

The Diamonds are still kick'in

Hey Cicapp,

Check out this link then look to the right and see these ole pharts back in 57, when their number one hit first came out. I think they look pretty good for coming over on the ark.

Great group and they still produce a great sound. I sometimes catch the public broadcast channel when they have some of the old groups on. There are several still around. My wife and I miss the dance clubs that used to be around playing the great sounds. Can't find any place to go danging anymore around here.
