Upper control arm cross shafts
I just blasted and cleaned my upper control arms and cross shafts. The cross shafts are a little more pitted than I thought. I was looking for exact replacements and can't seem to find the exact one? I would need the washers and nuts also to go with. My shafts are for a 1970 442 with the ends threaded with a washer and nut.
I have seen some that have a bolt and washer that is threaded onto the shafts also and I have a pair of those but wanted the exact replacement.
Moog has some but they are offset and not exact and sold as a kit. I already have new bushings to install and dont need the whole kit.
I suppose I could use my old ones but would need new nuts and washers at minimum.
Anybody supply any of these and know what they look like?

Scrappie - where are yours pitted?? Just on the exposed surfaces?? How about the smooth part of the shaft that the bushings slip over? They can be "bodyworked" on the exposed areas and then painted to look like they're a phosphate finish.
New washers and lock nuts are readily available. (check w/Inline Tube for the washers and lock nuts are easily found at local fastener supply places for low $).
That or find super clean original used pieces....not the easiest thing to find but not impossible either if you can source them from the drier areas of the country.

They are both "fixable" and the shaft on the top would be relatively easy since the pitting isn't deep. Lower shaft.....that would make me look for a nicer original candidate or two.
I took the liberty of sending a message to a guy I know out west to ask what he had, if anything.....he typically has some real "dry"/nice parts. If he responds then I'll put you in touch with him direct....I'm not trying to "middleman" anything.
Again, washers and nuts you can easily buy new so no need to worry about those.
