New Spectra Fuel Tank For My 68 Paint or Not Paint

Just picked up a new Spectra fuel tank for my 1968 Cutlass. Should I paint or leave it unpainted?

doesn't need paint. It has a protective film on it from the factory.

Mine is about fifteen years old and still looks pretty much new with no treatment other than whatever they did at the factory. Leave it alone.

Thank you to everyone that replied. I think I will be just putting it in as is. Just wanted to get some opinions before I did it.
