Front coil spring clocking?

Hello everyone,

I just finished my Winter - full frame off restoration of my 71 Olds Cutlass S post coupe. I replaced everything, body mounts, new control arm bushings (poly), Ball joints, added bigger swaybar, added 1" stock style rear sway bar ( + boxed rear LCA's and added frame triangular braces).

I always hat that issue, that my car is sagging about 1 inch on the left front corner. It did before the restauration and now after it, its the same. I tried everything and im so sick of this issue.

I always thought that the front coil springs are clocked correctly if the end of the spring is sitting in the deepest position of the front LCA. Today, i red in my 71 Chassis service manual, that the end of the coil springs should be BETWEEN the 2 small holes in the LCA's spring pocket. BUT - my LCA's just have one small slot hole in the spring pocket? So where should i place the end of the coil on these LCA's?

I hope someone reds my novel 😁

Thank you for your help, greetings from Austria!

BTW, here are 2 pictures of the Chassis before i dropped drivetrain back in and the body back on.

IMO, the frame doesnt look bent or something. It also had no cracks or other issues.

Place the spring so it covers the hole by about an inch

Same here, my '71 has one hole. The CSM says to cover about half of the hole. FWIW.

The end of the spring should be visible in the slot.

I saw this figure too, but i think the CSM says that thisbis not for A Body?

To place the springs that the end is visible in the slot makes sense to me.
