Temperature Requirements for Buffing/Polishing

Is the outdoor temperature a big factor for a good buffing/polishing finish? The temperature around here will be < 50 degrees F over the next few weeks. I plan on doing a buffing/polishing job to get out some superficial scratches. Do I need a warmer outside temperature to do the job right?

That temp shouldn't be a problem, biggest concern is the metal tempature not the air tempature, you con't want the metal tempature freezing, and you don't want it so hot (in direct hot sunlight)that the compound dries on it. Buffing and polishing is basically the same guidelines as waxing.
