Original MC or Not??

Can anyone help me to see if the MC I have had in the basement for 30 years is most likely my original one -1971 442, I can't remember. In the picture it looks like the part number (5470409) and the date code (D12). I can't find the part number in my parts cat. What does the date code correspond to?
Thanks

I think there should also be BE stamped on front? Not sure about other numbers?

The casting number is often different from the part number.

As Scrappie intimates, the stamped code may be your best identifier.

The casting number is correct.
As scrappie has said the two letter code stamped on the top front should be "BE"
All 1971-72 A body power disc brake cars were the same.
As VC455 said the part number on the box is usually different than the casting number on the part.
Hope this helps.
