So is it or not a '75 442 motor?

I got this car or what was left of one, the only marking on the body was on
the front driver side finder 442. It was a one owner and it was in a barn
for the last 27 years. the only thing that was good on it was the engine and
trans only. here's a list of are all the numbers on and in the motor.

That is a 350, not a 455. The 455 was not a standard engine in any Cutlass after the 1972 W30 (Joe please confirm this for me ), even for a 442.

As far as if it's a 442 engine, it really wouldn't matter in 1975 because AFAIK there was no difference for any 350 in 1975. All of them had a catalytic converter so there was no "true" dual exhaust any more soo....

Depending on how you define "standard", 1971 was the last time the 455 was standard in the 442. The 1972 cars demoted the 442 package to an appearance and handling package available on most 2dr Cutlass models, but the engine selection was not part of the package. Yes, the W-30 option included the L-77 455 motor, but the W-30 was not a separate model, just an option package itself.

Even in 1970, the "442 motor" wasn't exactly exclusive to the 442, as the 365 HP 455 that was the base motor in the 442 that year was also the W-32 motor in the Cutlass Supreme SX.
