1969 442 convertible quarter panel
Does anyone know where I can buy a new quarter panel for my ‘69 442 convertible?
I’ve searched exhaustively and failed to find a supplier.
Thanks.

They aren't reproduced. It's possible but unlikely that a bone yard might have something. What happened with the quarter panel on my '68 4-4-2 convertible (after we looked and looked for an original replacement panel in 2005 and couldn't find one) was that the body man used a reproduction quarter panel for a hardtop and cut it to fit a convertible. Extra metal was left on the car at the door jamb and across the top all the way to the rear to accommodate the fit and it worked out well.

The body line at the peak molding line different on a convertible and a hardtop. Another option is to replace only what is bad.
I cut only the wheel arch out just above the crisp lines and used the reproduction panel to patch it.

I spent 20 years looking for an original donor for mine. I wasn't in any hurry so just sat back and kept my eyes peeled for one to turn up. It never did. I had one guy from an Arizona boneyard tell me that if they had a wrecked car with good quarters, they'd rebuild the car around the quarters because they were so rare.
I ended up going the route of the other posters - that is, using a reproduction hard top quarter. If your bodyman is worth a damn, you'll never be able to tell.
