Rebuild this Q-jet or not?

I just picked up a rebuilt, never run 7042250 that I'm thinking about putting on my 455. I was going to rebuild it because it's been sitting on a shelf, bagged, for twenty years because I thought I'd have problems with the ethenol. Then I read that thread started by MDchanic (Eric) where Bill Demmer said the rebuild kits were all made by Walker and he didn't think they made an alcohol resistant kit for q-jets anyway.

I'd also like to hear your thoughts on running this 350 carb on the 455.

If it has been sitting for 20 yrs since the rebuild, I would redo it precisely because of the potential ethanol problems.

As for all kits being made by whomever, I do not believe it/buy it. Get a rebuild kit from Daytona Parts Co. It will be ethanol compatible, guaranteed. Daytona Parts Co.

I have a 7043251 available for $50 if you would be interested. It needs rebuilt also but it is from a 455.
