Hey guys I'm kind of in a bind. I need a standard bore 69' 400 piston part # 398454. We tore down our 69' 442 today and the block is in great shape but one piston had a ring land broken. We're trying to freshen the engine up on a budget and a new set of pistons is out. The block is in near perfect condition so if we can find a piston we're going to just hone the block out. We only need one piston. If you have one that you could part with please let me know.

Apparently no one has a used one. Can someone tell me if and where I could by a single stock replacement? Supercars Unlimited sells the whole set but doesn't list them individually. Anybody?

 

I will check my stash, I should have one if i can find them. Anyways, you will need to find an OEM factory piston nothing else will work, Anything new aftermarket/replacement would require the entire rotating assembly to be rebalanced which would defeat the budget rebuild
