OIL filter adaptor to block

My gasket kit has 2 gaskets for the filter housing to block. A crush type metal one and a felt one. Which goes where or do just one of them get used.

I have seen metal ones which are factory style and felt ones and combination metal and felt. I would use the metal one with some high tack spray on each side...

There are 2 different gasket patterns if I remember correctly.
One for rear wheel drive, and one for front wheel drive.

MATCH UP THE PATTERNS FIRST. Worry about the materials second.

Good luck.

Both will bolt up....the fiber one is a better fit. That is the one that I will choose. Asked the builder today and he also suggested the fiber gasket.

Rather than resurrecting a bunch of five, six, and seven year old threads, why don't you just start your own thread and ask the question?
