Are you using the banjo fittings at the trans? These supposedly are the shortest ones available.

No, those would be tighter fitting, forgot those existed. I used these.

Since cooler lines have entered the discussion: on 4L80 models with the cooler lines towards the center of the case (center lube models) it’s critical to use a cooler fitting with the extended nipple. If not, lube flow to the gear sets is basically zero. Without the extended nipple, lube oil basically falls into the oil pan instead of circulating thru the lube circuit. That means expensive damage extremely quickly.

Which parts? The controller, 94 up 4L80E from multiple sources on Amazon and same goes from the lines, as long as it has the one long fitting.

Type 4L80E cooler banjo fittings into Google. Multiple vendors sell them.
