motor/Frame mounts

To install a BB olds where a SB olds used to be do you need different motor/frame mounts? And also what else do I need to be concerned with? Thanks in advance

Also forgive me for asking but will an Buick 455 bolt into a 67 cutlass "just curious"

Also is $550 a good price for a 67 delta 88 455 with all the accessories a good deal?

Just use the 350 frame pads with the 350 motor mounts and your good to go.
Are are you sure its a 455? Might be a 425, 455 did not come around till 1968. What are the numbers above the water pump. $550 not bad if its a good runner and has all the brackets and such.
As for the buick yes it will fit but you will need buick frame bads and motor mounts. It will bolt up to your trans.

Not sure what year you're talking about, but I know '68 BB motor mounts are specific to that year and are different to the SB mounts.

But, just as a rule of thumb, I've always found that BB motor mounts are different from SB mounts.

Sorry, is that for just the 455 engine or the whole car?

LOL just for the motor with all the accessories! I need to replace my 330 it has a slight knock above 4k RPM and i need a motor to get around immediately.

gthmcty1,

What are you planning to use as a transmission behind the 455. What does the 330 have for a transmission now?

It has a 350 behind it right now not going to be doing any hard launches or crazy driving right now just want to get a motor in there so I can drive it while working on it with mo motor issues or at least minor issue.

The Olds factory parts manual (plus every single 1968 A-body I've ever owned or worked on) would disagree with that statement. For 1965-1968, there was only ONE P/N for frame mounts and only ONE P/N for motor mounts for the A-body cars. BBO and SBO used the same mount parts from the factory.
