Heater hose block off?

Heater hose block off?

I don’t have heater in my car and I have a hose running from water pump to back off intake can I remove this hose and block off each port or does the coolent need to flow through there ? (455) engine thanks for and advice on this

No, you're ok blocking it off at the pump and intake.

No.

Connecting the hoses to the heater core and having the dash selector on WARM all the time would, though, as the heater core would dissipate some amount of heat, but it would go into the passenger compartment.

You can use a pipe plug on the intake manifold and a rubber cap on the water pump, as the factory did on heater delete cars. However, those rubber caps don't last a long time. I pull the hose nipple and tap the water pump outlet for a pipe plug if the pump is off the engine.

As Joe points out, the current rubber caps are crap. I finally found a source for silicone caps that are infinitely better and longer lasting.
