Trading out a 350 for a 455. Is the old flywheel and harmonic balancer good on the replacement 455? Any other comments or suggestions that might help us or save some time? Motor Mounts? Height and clearance of Valve covers? Thanks

 

1968-1990 flywheels for Olds V8s all interchange. The balancer will also swap, assuming the 350 is NOT a W-31. The BBO is about 1" taller than the SBO, so the valve covers will be that much higher. See this thread for motor mount info.

 

Thanks Joe for tagging in that motor mount thread. I had been meaning to copy and paste it to a word doc so I could save it on my computer. I have printed it off with the frame mount add and the pictures.
