edelbrock carb question

Hi, I am having a problem with the edelbrock carb on my delta 88. Either the secondaries are not opening, or they are but it is not shifting down when they do. It is definitely not shifting down. Isn't there supposed to be a rod or something going down to the automatic trans? That's the way it is on my ford, it looks like I am missing something.

A Turbo 350 has a cable and a Turbo 400 has a switch on the gas pedal. What transmission do you have?

It is a turbo 400, so it goes to the gas pedal? I'm pretty sure it is missing I will take a picture. I found this http://www.summitracing.com/parts/bmm-20297 Is there a way I could hook it up to the carb so it would work in sync with the secondaries?

My camera decided not to work. If it goes to the pedal itself it is definitely missing, all that is there are the 2 stud things at the bottom and the rod with the wheel on it at the top, I will order that part and try to figure it out, thanks for the help guys.

There are many ways to provide a switched wot 12v source to the trans. The stock locations varied based on model/year.
