455 Redline

455 Redline
What is a safe redline for a 455 with a stock crank and no additional bracings for the mains. The engine has Eagle rods but I would think that the limiting factor is the crank.
This Oldsmobile stuff is new to me. My last hot rod was a 1963 Mercury S-22 with a slightly worked over 289 that wound up like crazy--I normally flat shifted at over 7,000 rpms. I know that the Olds would probably crap out its inners at that rpm but then again it probably has twice the torque of that 289.
The tach I bought has a shift light that I'll probably set up at a reasonable redline to keep a big dummy like me from blowing it up....

With heavy pistons I wouldn't want more than 5500-5800, with that in mind does the camshaft and heads make power at those speeds? A mild 455 with a mild camshaft will probably have its tongue hanging out much more than 5000,.

The cam list the range of operation as 2200 to 6100 and the max for the intake is a little higher than that so I'll probably set the redline (shift light) at around 5,800 to give it a little buffer. Not that I would shift at 5,800 but it would be nice to have a light come on to give a heads up.
The K-B pistons and Eagle rods are actually around 125 grams lighter than the stock pistons and rods. I didn't have the vehicle on the street yet but it seems to be smooth (no balance issues) when you rev it to higher rpms.
Thanks for the replies.
