455 fitting 66 cutlass 4 door
I'm just picking up a 455 big block... right know i have a small block in there.. my question is other then the headers what else do i need to do to put this motor (F396021 with g heads) in there. Will i have clearance issues anything i need to move around... Can some tell me what i need to look out for???

Thats sounds great... This engine came complete with everything.. someone mention to change all the brackets and stuff... should i do this or leave it all it came with and freshen it up....

Sorry did not realize you had a 283 in it?? As the others said, you need the correct frame brkts and motor mounts for the 455. If yours has all the accessory's and brackets just use those!
What trans are you currently using? The chevy trans will not work directly with the olds motor? I believe your starter wiring will have to be rerouted to the other side also.

im considering to do some sprucing up... and take it apart before i put it in so i can get more power out of it.... will keep all of you posted

Ok I'm ready to do the rebuild.. I want to do something a little better then stock.. Something like mlld. Nothing to crazy.. Not too much money either but will do what makes sense. Please give some suggestions so I can resaearch and make a decision on the recommendations. Thanx

There are several threads related to mild to wild 455 builds in here! Even just a stock 455 with that trans, a set of headers, good carb and manifold, will be a dramatic improvement over what you have now.
