I'm just picking up a 455 big block... right know i have a small block in there.. my question is other then the headers what else do i need to do to put this motor (F396021 with g heads) in there. Will i have clearance issues anything i need to move around... Can some tell me what i need to look out for???
Thanks in advance for the responses..

Well I can tell you use the same mounts that are on the 330 and the water pump, brackets and pulleys as well. Not sure about any clearance issues as you could get a BBO in that car soo....

You will need the correct 64-67 Olds frames mounts and you should be good to go after that.

You're also going to need a different transmission and most likely driveshaft.

Sorry did not realize you had a 283 in it?? As the others said, you need the correct frame brkts and motor mounts for the 455. If yours has all the accessory's and brackets just use those!

What trans are you currently using? The chevy trans will not work directly with the olds motor? I believe your starter wiring will have to be rerouted to the other side also.

There are several threads related to mild to wild 455 builds in here! Even just a stock 455 with that trans, a set of headers, good carb and manifold, will be a dramatic improvement over what you have now.

Cool, fill us in on what you did, and would love to see some pic's. Any brand header should work well with your 455.

Yes but I hear that most of them don't fit right on the 1966 f85. Any suggestions

Does it make a difference from a 4 door to the 2 door. Because I have a 4 door. Do you have a model number from hooker by any chance

The passenger side sometimes needs a bit of massaging sometimes with any brand. Does not matter about how many doors the front is the same.
