Gaps look o.k. to me, but there's surely room for improvment by a professional.

Aim for consistent 1/8" gap between door trailing edge and rear quarter and no sag between the door top rear corner and top front corner of the rear quarter.

3/16"s thick plastic gapping "tool" used to set the fore/aft position of the door during door hinge alignment. Rear quarters before fenders since quarters can't move...

The 1/4" thick gapper plastic went under the front corner of the door to get a decent gap between the door bottom and the rocker panel

66 Olds Chassis Service manual says aim for 1/32 of interference between the body and door wedges. My 98 frame bends going over some bumps. These seem to help.

Body bolts adjust fore/aft and parallel to rockers. Door bolts adjust lateral in/out of door top and bottom and a bit of vertical up/down

Stop door rattles with these - door locks and door paddles both need them. Power door lock actuators too, if applicable

1965 meets 2019, who needs cigar lighters these days? Much better to have USB chargers.

'65 Starfire Ashtrays with integral cigar lighter, nice die cast piece. The part was reused for '67 Toronados which these are out of.

Olds cut costs on the '66 Starfire and used inexpensive stamped ashtrays in the rear.

'66 Starfire Ashtray, typical GM, seemed like a cost play to me.

Passenger side Cadillac cowl to fender rubber mastic seal. Not too hard to cut and attach.

Part of how Cadillac was "Standard of the World" long ago. Additional noise seals. Cool.

These covers were metal. This one shows surface rust. 60's nice, not plastic.

1965 Cadillac door jamb cover. Should be a decent starter template for an Olds, Pontiac or other GM's.

'66 98 Ambulance Conversion. Made in Arkansas found its way to CA over the years. Probably retired in the '70's based on it's blue plate

'68 88 at Turners Auto Salvage, Section 4 (i think). Interior not too bad, blue if I recall. Front drums as you can see.

U channel sticks the bulb seal to the trailing vertical edge of the front fender. Mostly unseen, but seems to help quiet these old cars.

Trimlok 1.75" flap seal installed on frame rail. Invisible when top is up, but doesn't want to stay in place. 3" length flap seal is on order to get it to tuck in on top of the top pads without intervention.

Typical GM convertible top frame. Functional, but not all that quiet by modern standards.

Add another seal to your Olds. Cadillac did this in the 60's, so we're not too far from factory. Just upgrading...
