Question Cheap lift for 1985 cutlass supreme?

my cutlass had 22 inch daytons on but i took them off because it got cold and because the tires would scrape against the body and the tires would rip. i want to lift it just enough so i could put people in the back and Passenger and not worry about the scraping or tearing of the tires. i was thinking of putting air shock in the rear and front shock extension in the front. does any one know if that would work and how much of a lift it would give? thanks

More importantly:

Did you upgrade the, brakes, rear axles, and the A Arms as well? Since these items will fail with all the weight and stress of those heavy wheels

wouldn't it be easier to pull the body off and put it on a truck chassis?

Glad to hear you are doiong this the correct way Although I'm not a fan of doing this

There's got to be DONK forums you can find out this info. Maybe longer springs and shocks with larger bump stops would do the trick. Don't know if it's going to be cheap thou

Personally, I think it's stupid to do this, however, this guy says he upgraded all the parts from stock to something better, esp the brakes, so I'll help out as much as I can, althought I don't know much about this topic.

If it had stock brakes, axles, a-arms, etc, I wouldn't be helping
