Wheel Identification
Wheel Identification
Good Evening All
I was wondering if someone could help me decode the wheels I just acquired. I've done a bunch of searches and believe I have most of it figured out but not all - here is a link to my album with pics of the codes
If I'm reading this right it goes something like this (Outside Stamp):
Motor Wheel Company Plant #1
Year - 1969
Month - December (12)
Day - 3rd
What I can't find info on is the inside stamp - specifically the JJ and the 878 codes. I've looked here but there is no info on the 878 code. It could be meaningless but I'd really like to know what it all means
All assistance is appreciated - Thanks!

the "JJ" is the profile of the wheel lip, others used 50+ years ago include "J" & "JK"
the "878" is the profile of the wheel hoop
the "MA" would point to the original applications of the wheel at GM

Thank you for the reply - I was away this weekend and did not have access to the forum. I haven't test fit them yet but is there any reason to believe these would not fit on my '72 Cutlass S?
