wheel studs

wheel studs

I know you would disagree with this but I am putting some 20 inch wheels on my 71 cutlass and have some new but longer wheels studs I have a idea of how to install the studs but I knew somebody here would lead me in the right direction please help. How to I line up the knurls or what ever they are callled

No need to align the knurls. I slip the lug in until the knurled part contacts the back of the hub, thread an acorn lug nut turned backwards (flat side towards hub), then tighten the nut to pull the stud into the hub. Check the backside to make sure the stud pulls flush to the hub.

Doing that many studs at one time you may want to get a wheel stud installer. Or you can make one if you have a small old bearing laying around.
