I recently removed trim rings on the SS1 wheels (14"x7") of my 72 to replace the tires. Some square stickers on them that have 900928 fell off. I'm not the orignal owner of the car that was restored in 92. I just wanted to know if these are GM rings or aftermarket reproductions.

I did some research and found the Camaro guys stating that this is a GM recall replacement ring since the original design tended to fly off when driving. Other than that there isn't much information out there that I could find. Can anyone confirm this?
