15 x 7 JJ 975 SSII Made in Canada

I just picked up 4 of these I plan on restoring. They came with a shallow ring but I like the deep trim ring like on my 69 14 inchers. So my question is does the 975 stand for the year 1975? And which trim ring should I get to replace the wimpy looking thin ones?

I can't recommend a specific ring but they 3" deep, I got some off eBay and they look good but they are more rounded, while they originals have a sharper squarer transition

I don't think you can get the 3" deep trim rings at the parts store. Oldsguy and I picked up many SS wheels at the salvage yard when I was in college and were never able to find any new 3" deep trim rings. Maybe someone knows of a specific supplier...

Trim Ring and 15 7 JJ 975 Markings

Thanks for the responses but I might be able to get the rings I like if I knew the origin of the wheels. The reference sheets do not include the
975 marking so I have no idea what year it is. Thanks.

The snap-on center cap 15x7 SSIII wheels were used on the Cutlass from 1975 to 1977 (I think '77 was the last year).

The trim rings pictured above by 1971four4two appear to be 15x7.0" Pontiac. The closest aftermarket Olds 15x7.0" SSIII are these ...... http://www.ebay.com/itm/Oldsmobile-M...05c4e3&vxp=mtr
