Turbo 350 in Vista Cruiser??

When I bought my 1970 Vista Cruiser I was told it had a Turbo 400 behind the 350 4bbl. I had to rebuild the transmission and found that it has a Turbo 350 long tailshaft. Since I have seen many Vistas with the turbo 400 behind a 350 including the 72 in the cars for sale section now. I checked the numbers of the trans and it does match the vin so I'm sure it's the original. Any thoughts or comments on this? Thanks Greg.

Those transmissions are neither a TH400 nor a TH350. 1967-69 Vistas with small block motors used a TH375. This is a light duty version of the TH400 with lower strength internals and the smaller TH350/Jetaway output shaft.

The 1970-up Vistas with small blocks used the TH375B, which is an upgraded TH350 with HD internals.

The TH375 and TH375B were also used in the Delta 88 cars with small block motors.
