Good news !!

Good news !!
As mentioned in previous post after almost 5 years the 56 Olds 88 needs some love, it has multiple trans leaks thankfully all external and I have no shifting problems ( I have a Jetaway ) as you know most trans shops avoid Jetaways like a vegan avoids a cheese burger !! I found a shop willing to do a reseal but after bringing it in I they still have not called me back with a est. ( I think he's gotten cold feet) so upon further research I found a trans/radiator shop also willing to give a est. for reseal, when I mentioned that nobody wants to work on Jetaways he interrupted with whoa, whoa I'll work on them all day !!! as a past owner of a 56 Olds 98 and 64 Olds Starfire I'm very familiar with them and will certainly work on them and guarantee the repair I and have a vender source for hard parts !! and best of all He's only 4 miles away !! So while I don't believe I require any internal repairs at least I now have a repair shop that can work on my Jetaway.
his web sight is full of satisfied classic car owners and 5 star reviews. He will also give me a est to repair small rad leak,

I'll keep ya posted.
I've been busy making minor repairs to dash lights, cooling system, tomorrow I'm planning on making a minor upgrade to the converted (gen to alt ) charging system.

FWIW, I just had the C6 in my 86 Ford truck rebuilt by a local transmission shop. If I bought a 64 Starfire with the dreaded Slim Jim Rotohydramatic I wouldn't hesitate to bring it to him for repair. Here's his contact info for anyone near OKC.
