1950 oldsmobile 88

Hi guys, I'm new here but I have a 1950 Oldsmobile 88 and I'm having an issue with the oil filter canister and I see others have also had issues with this. I've been reading here on this site that there is an oil filter adapter that some have used for the 1950 Oldsmobile? I would love to know if any body can tell me where I can get one of there oil filter adapters for this car. I've tried to search for the company that was making them but I couldn't find them and it looks like all the blogs on this site are from a few years ago. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated

Welcome! Sorry I don’t know about an adaptor. What kind of problem are you having with the original housing?

What I would do is find an adapter for a 63 or 64 394 and install it. It takes a spin on filter and works better than the adapters. You will probably need buy a couple fittings for your line to the oil pressure gauge since the later model takes a pressure switch.
