Where to buy a rear fender cut in the U.S?

Hi everyone.
For those that do not know some months ago the Hardtop was hit and damaged and I just today secured a repairer. What we need is a full left rear fender cut.
Need it from tail light to the door and all the way down to the sill marked with the blue tape in pics.

I am looking for suggestions on where to locate this panel so if you know wrecking yards or someone you can suggest I contact that would have this please let me know so myself and the panel man can make inquiries to purchase and get it here.

Thank you.

Hope you can find the part you need. BTW, what insurance do you have? A few months between the time of the wreck and finding a shop to repair the car seems excessive.

BTW, here are 2 possible sources. I've never done business with them, but I've heard they know what they have and charge accordingly.

Make sure you get a panel from a "98".
88 and Super 88 panels were shorter in overall length and won't fit.

Thanks for the info I’ll check it out.
Mucked around by some shops happy to say they’ll do it but they have three weeks to submit their quiet to insurance company that’s to chase up parts prices and quote hours etc. They just don’t do it. Done that a few times now.

I believe the addition length on the 98 quarter was from the door to the wheel opening. If you dont need that any quarter cut will do... I am sure what you need is out there somewhere, trouble will be getting it to you...

Insurance is paying they want it back on the road as much as I do so only problem is getting people to go to the trouble to pack it up and go through the paperwork to send it. Do-able as I had an engine shipped and a full exhaust system.

Is your insurance willing to pay a bodyman to rework that fender? That might be cheaper and easier than finding the part you need.

Yes they will pay either way no worries there.
closer inspection reveals other damage the guard bulges our over the wheel arch, ripples in the fender top just aft of window, parcel shelf has a ripple as well.

He and I will locate the item and he can go with which way he wants. Just another option he is looking at I suppose.

Thanks again Charlie Jones for that info as I remember reading a while ago the difference there.
I will pass this onto the panel man.

You might check in with Larry Camuso in California too. I can’t recall his website, but he deals in these kinds of parts and has for a couple of decades. Google up his name and you’ll find him without much trouble. I believe he’s located in San Jose, CA, or nearby.

You might also call French Lake Auto parts in Minnesota. They’re a specialist breaker in the Midwest. Their parts would be much more subject to rust than west coast or Arizona parts, but worth a check.

Good luck.
