Rear Wheel Skirting: Yes or No?
#42
I just received a set of 54 fender skirts for my 55, they have a bolt attachment and a clip for the front, unfortunately there is nothing in the front of the inside fender for the clip to mount on, and there is nothing for the rear bolt to match up with? any help?

To steer us back on track... Dan, I like the body colored skirts on the 57 and I don't think it'll hurt a thing in a show setting.

This era Olds could be ordered with or without most any option and often special options are omitted or added crossing model lines......Tedd

Surprisingly, the car does have the slots in the fender for the skirt, I am able to mount them, and they are basically being held in by pressure. I am missing the front and rear mounts. Does anyone have a picture of them? I might just have to fabricate them.
Love to see what they actually look like!

cool, i figured I could get a buddy to make me the rear bracket pretty quick, i was thinking about just taking a heavy duty "L" bracket from Lowes and cut a notch in it and just attach it to the inner fender.
The skirts already had the rubber when I got them! A few bolts, washers and rubber washers...Should be a nice weekend project!

so i was able to find the front and rear pieces at a junk yard, the problem is that one of the rear stamped pieces was missing, does anyone have an extra? also the set came with 4 rectangle metal pieces that are slightly curved. the picture they sent me show that they went on the top of the wheel openning. Does anyone know of this? I've never seen these before.
