Need a little bit of help - Owners Manual

Tedd, Red, anyone who might help,

I bought an owners manual from eBay for my '55 Olds. It was a bit beat up, but I didn't have one, so now I do.

But, what wasn't disclosed is the 1st page was ripped out. Not happy about it, yeah, eBay.....I know.

Would anyone have an owners manual, be willing to scan and post or send me a picture/pdf of Page 1 and 2 of the owners manual? I realize it might only be part of the index, and title page, but at this point, I don't know! What I have starts on page 3. Are there any pages before 1 & 2?

Dave

Here is the URL link for the d/l. I downloaded it. The .pdf file is 11.8MB and 10.8MB (zipped). I'll see if I can post it here, but I believe there's a 10MB maximum size limitation.

Cool. The zip file was able to be uploaded. I think I'll try the raw .pdf file...maybe it will work, as well.

In the manual it states that the oil filter is an option, anyone ever see a 324 without an oil filter? would there be a block off plate?

Thanks guys.

I saw that about the oil filter. I imagine you could still attach the canister, just not put a filter inside.

I can't speak to the "optional" oil filter. As a 10/11 year old (1952/1953) I recall my fascination watching an uncle change oil in a big farm tractor. Doing so he said for me to run up to the (farm) house & ask Aunt Ruthie for a roll of toilet paper. I thought he had to take a $hit.

With a quick look, page #1 list general information and page number, Hydra-matic lubrication, front suspension, steering, etc. All the headings you see on the left-hand side of each page. The next page skips #2 and starts at page #3 with General Information which I believe you have...Tedd
