anybody know if a 54 olds fuel pump will work on a 55, know the part numbers?? thanks

Yep, should be the same. Don't have a book around me now to look up the olds part number, but the USA Parts number is s39ood for a 55. I think the only difference between a 54 and a 55 is the 55 has a glass filter bowl and the 54 dosn't...Tedd

I am pretty sure there were two fuel pumps available for 54. It probably changed in mid year. One had a straight arm and the other had a bend in the arm. I don't remember which is which.

 

Redoldsman, I think you are right. I just looked and it shows separate pumps. I remember swapping pumps in the past but it must have been from 55 to a 56. I thought all 324's were the same. learned something today....Tedd

 

yea they are showing a different nimber for 50 to 54, 9294, 55 56 shows 4317 , i also thoght that all the 324 s were the same but i guess after 50 + yrs of fooling with them im still learning. thanks guys, if anybody has anything to add id like to hear it
