1939 olds parts

I'm new to this sight and looking for anyone that has experienced and could give insight into restoring my recently acquired 39 2 door sedan. Lots of chevy parts out there, but not much for this old oldsmobile. It's a really nice old car, very solid all the way around just will need the usual stuff...shocks, brakes, bearings etc, been sitting 45 years.

Try Fusicks http://www.fusick.com/ they have a good amount of parts. Then there are the wrecking yards specializing in the older cars. You will need a parts cross reference parts book too. Oldsmobile, Buick, Pontiac, and Chev shared several parts in those years. You kind find these books on e-bay sometimes. Others will chime in with ideas as well

Thanks citcapp. Already...help is on the way and I don't even have it apart! I saw some of the cross reference parts for the 39 gm cars on ebay. Hoping that many of the parts are good on the car. Wanting to really retire in the next 5 years and am not really in a hurry to get it finished. As with my other projects, I've learned that the earlier you start looking for things you need, the more deals you may find and save money that way.

Hope that cross reference catalog helps you out more than it did me, almost all the parts I look up end up only fitting out of a 56 olds
